Won't get my vote! Soooooooooooo drab and unimaginative. The 50th should have been painted an outstanding Nassau Blue with an all white inerior and white top for the convertible and throw in a white steering wheel and maybe even white painted wheels ala the 35th if you want to jazz it up.At the very least make it a 53 replica color combo of Polo White with red leather interior.Instead? We get a retread of the 40th with the whine color drab look.BLAH!:(
What do you think?

HI Lou,
I don't think it's drab. It's even attractive, in my opinion. I do, however, think you're correct when you say that the 50th could be and should be MORE special. I like the White/red combination idea. It has certainly passed the test of time, and would be a fitting tribute to the '53's that started the ball rolling to begin with. You could even have white/white with red carpet-dash door panels, etc. That would further delineate the 50th cars from the regular white/red production cars. What do ya' think?

GM could have done more but overall I think the 50th looks good. The Idea of the 50th being white is absurd. No flame intended on white but it's not the color of choice with most people. Buyers like a metalic red so GM gave them what they wanted. Thats what their in business to do. They have to please people so they buy their product. Michael

I think white has ALWAYS been a classy color for a Corvette, especially with a red interior.Very Sharp indeed.I'd take white over the 50th drab red any day.Bright red and Torch red are SO much nicer than the whine colored red that was used in the 40th and 50th.My favorite colors for the C4 and C5 Vettes are Nassau Blue, Yellow,Red,White, Medium Blue metallic and Turquoise metallic.

I resemble that remark:D. I guess that's why white was the top selling choice for eleven years of Corvette production. If all Corvettes are red, I must be driving a ford.

Saw the car at Bloomington Gold. Butt ugly. The tone on tone inside is nice looking. (looks like a Cadillac) and Shale colored leather is a Cadillac color...eek! And the CTS gets the Z06 motor double eek! Hey maybe C6 will have a padded top Brougham edition??

True on the looks, however, drive the F55 suspension, and you will know why its head and shoulders above anything.
Only the FE4 is the best for true performance drivers, whom want nothing more than the most agressive.
Other than that, F55 is the best balance ever seen on c5.
Besttoyou, c4c5:hb

Id have to say that not yet seeing the car in persone I can't say much about it. However from the pictures it's another red vette. I thought that the 50th should have been the C5/53 Car that has been running around with an LPE SC on it. White/red, not some 40th knock off color. I bought chanses for the NCM raffle. If I win that car, It's goin to Tom Henry Chevy for that sweet 91 Vette Docs 368 ZR-1 that he has there. If I can't get that Im selling it for a ZR-1.

71 SHARK (ERIC)

WHITE IS INDEED A NICE COLOR BUT BACK IN 71 AND IN 02 IT CERTAINLY WAS NOT THE TOP COLOR!

I don't mind the color

It looks kinda funky from a distance, but upclose it is really cool. If you want to see something scarry, Click this . :D
OH--We bought a chance or two so don't plan on selling that car just yet...I plan on winning it.:upthumbs

I like it . I don't love it but I like it . Hi Drew-Next time tell that camera man to cut off part of you instead of part of the Corvette !Cliff

I tried...

the car is much prettier up close, but I'm not. They just wouldn't cut me off. I told him to get us behind the wheel, but they didn't. Darn chevy photographers. :D

The exterior color looked nice when it was in St. Louis a few weeks ago during the 50th Historic Motorama, but the interior could have been spiced up a bit.

I've always thought a car painted White kind of looked like a vehicle that missed it's opportunity in the color booth. :L

It would have been Great if the 50th was dressed in a New Torch Red Metallic Type Color! :upthumbs

Heck maybe even with a White/Black Interior . . . ;)

I will have to say I was a bit disappointed when I saw the release of the 50th. With all of the rumors that had been floating around about the car I’m sure GM heard a few of them. In my opinion it seemed most of the rumors centered on a very special release of the 50th. Some type of throwback to the color scheme of the 53. Also maybe the O6 engine to show how far the car had come. I think GM is wary of the marketplace and did not want to spend the $$ to retool for one special model. It’s a great looking Vette, just not what I would hope to see represent a 50th anniversary.

Hi Lou and everybody (who cares) else,
...and the problem is? Yea, I read the article on that 53 body on a C5. It did look good. But this is the 50th model year. Did you expect your spouse to look hotter when s/he turned 50? It's the love, not the look.
