w.p.torque?

Water Pump Installation:
Engine is dry and out:
What is the torque value for mounting bolts?
Recommend gasket goop?
Any other recommendations?
.......oh.....Happy VD!!! ha ha

Well, I don't keep these #'s stored in my random access..........so here's what I would do............I'd trot on down to the USA-1 dealer in Austin and ask their corvette tech what the proper goup and torque is. If that doesn't seem to work...............I'd try:

or try this guy for FREE...........

or...............or you could ask Twiget.........he has a Chilton's Manual.......and if ya ask him real nicely ........he might look up the majic goo and torque #'s for you............

.............I assume you are trotting since the pump is removed.......:t :t :t :t :t

I forget the torque (I am at work), but I installed the pump with dry gaskets. There are little tabs on the top end that allows one to move the bottom of the gasket to line up with the bottom bolt if you start with top bolt in place. If you feel you must use a gasket coating, then try Permatex #2. You really don't need it, though.
