OK so i'm done with my head/cam swap. I noticed when inspecting the water pump that the weep hole was full of grease. I cleaned the grease out and SURPRISE it now leaks. My question is,I'm planning on installing side pipes(or headers) and i'm going to convert the lower alternator bracket to the 71 up style(still looking for one if anyone has one). Do I need to buy a 71 up Corvette water pump so the pulleys line up or will i be fine with the standard short pump? Thanks in advance Craig.

I did some measuring today and found out I already have a Corvette length pump on the car. No wonder I could never get the pulleys to line up. If anybody ever starts a " whose previous owner was a bubba thread" I could write a book.

there have been a lot of bubba fixes that we have found...
there wouldn't be a book but a set of encyclopedias!!!!!:boogie:boogie:boogie
