be careful about the broad brush. there's a big difference between an LT4 and an L98, and then worse yet you've got the L83. a C4 is not a C4.....

But you posted earlier that an L98 is a white trash car. Let them out run ya, we are suppose to be cruising, the ladies can't out run a L83 The slower you go and the less money you spend on your vette the ladies you can real in

Good point and there are lots of 4 door cars that will give the average C4 a run for the money if not an actually azz beating.

If your not in a ZR1 and your C4 is not modified your car is no longer fast .

no, i posted that someone told me i'm driving a white trash car.

i don't own cars to "real in the ladies". any woman interested in me because of my car is entirely immature and not worth a nickel.

Use all your weapons, why narrow the feild down to just the ladies that like your personallity? Use your car, your life style, your boat, your aircraft, your wallet and just real them in. If not whats the point, its all about the ladies:naughty:

I am married to my wife because it didn't make any diff to her what I drove, where I worked or how much I made.
It was about who we both were and still are.

I don't care if I can beat the next guy, it is all about enjoying what you drive. The therapy goes a long ways too.

again, if she's more interested in my assets and net worth then she's either worthless or suffering from a teenaged mentality. i like real women, not brats. i don't have "weapons", i'm not interested in looking at life that way. i would have seen your point if i was maybe 16 or 17 yrs. old.....after that's it's pointless.

and why in the world would i try to spend time with a woman that didn't like me? i don't understand your approach. the field is and should be narrowed down to two people who have alot common, not the other way around. the playboy thing you've got going on doesn't attract real women, it gets you a brat who hasn't grown up yet.

The only way you can compare a "who's faster" is to know the abilities of every car out there in it's stock form.

For the most part, with the exception of a newer vette, you should pretty much be faster than any stock factory car out there built within 3 years of your vette. There are a few exceptions, but it's pretty reliable.
Obviously if someone has modified their car, then all bets are off and the question has no answer.

Also, on a minor note, you didn't specify in what type of situation you'd want to outrun another car. In a 1/4 mile sprint? Stop light to stop light? Top speed? Through some twisties?
The vette is a very well rounded car, but there are cars out there that excel at specific tasks. A car like the Lotus Elise or the Ariel Atom can lap some roadcourses faster than a vette, but won't win in a top-speed shootout.
So just stick with the +3 year rule.

I know and I still stick with this answer, and I mean from a stop light, 0-60, 1/4 mile, top end and even through the twisties , but don't feel bad some sporty cars from the 2000-2004 suffer from the same fate:
