I saw this car for sale on the Callaway site .....1988 Callaway Tiwn Turbo Convertible, red with tan interior & top, loaded, rare auto trans., Dymags, off road package, 100+hp option, one owner, only 6,447 miles, excellent condition....What is done to bump the HP by 100 ?....

Thanks ....I guess I should have looked down the page :).....

I have a question too!

Maybe I missed something in both places. Intake manifold alone will not get you 100+hp over the Callaway stock. What did I miss here?

Chris, post me on what you know.

Stan:) :w

Short runner intakes will have a dramatic increase of hp over the factory stock TPI set up, and the torque numbers won't be as peaky either as with the stock TPI. The torque numbers will be less, but broader throughout the rpms. This has been my observation going from long runners to the mini ram under boost.

Granted a separate cam profile for each intake would enhance their optimum performance.

The intake alone, would not gain 100 hp (although looking at the intake, you can see the advances in design - kinda like a cross between a LT1 manifold and Tunel ram for EFI...

There were other parts of the 100 plus option content beyond the intake itself - about 11 grand extra, when ordered new. :m

Thanks Guys

As much as I like the Supernatural package, I still love the low end torque better. Just an opinion.......

Thanks all,

Stan
