What is this noise?

Hi everyone, I just started noticing when I hit a speed bump or dip I get a squeak in the front end both going up and down. Is this the start of needing new shocks or the bushings going out. Thanks, Mark

My 88 squeaks also but only on cold days. I go over three speed humps exiting my subdivision and only in winter do I get the squeaking. New Bilsteins last year but still squeaks so my guess would be bushings.......As with most other noises, I simplpy turn up the volume on the stereo.....

Stabilizer bar bushings?? Have the been replaced with poly recently?

No new parts, I got the car in July with only 59k on it and no squeaks. just lately the noise popped up. I was thinking of getting TPIS shocks for all the way around. Does anyone know if they are any good or should I go with the Bilsteins?

I use silicone spray on the cars bushings once a year cause the car sits a lot.....eliminates any bushing squeaks and keeps the rubber pliable.

I would start by getting under the car and spray all the bushings you can get to, with silicone lube. If that takes care of the problem, no $$$ for new shocks.

The age as well as the miles will abuse the rubber bushings, causing dry rot.

And, like Derek said... the spring mounts.

I bought some silicone lub, sprayed it on all the joints and no more squeaks.
