What job do we C4 owners have?

I'm an engineering technician for a mid-sized city. (call me a city employee, we don't like to be called city workers). Used to work as a engineering designer in the private sector (industrial wastewater and hazardous waste treatment systems). Sometimes farm hand, my family still has a very small working farm raising corn and soybeans.)

When I grow up I want to be an astronaut!!!!
(or Formula 1 driver)

I'm an accountant. I did mostly consulting work, but for 2005 I was made a permanent employee for a firm on Wall St. (no I don't make big or anything close to big money, it just sounds nice) I also happen to purchase my '85 Vette while working here, so everything was in the right 'phase':beer

Just a dumb plumber (actually Plumbing Estimator - Designer / Project manager
Considering what I just paid to have a bathroom refurbished you should order a matching pair of C6s.:eyerole:L

I'm really surprised no one else here is a school teacher! Maybe I'm the only one who can afford a Vette. Wait..... I don't think I can afford it either, I just wanted one. But like someone else said, the kids are gone, now it's my turn.

I also have a small custom cabinetry business and do computer consulting on the side. That helps where the teaching salary is lacking.

My job is in a convenience store (food, name is ICA)

Retired transit mechanic..... now the official almond roca remover from the cat box!

Which job would you like.
1st Electrical Engineer for the government
2nd U.S. Navy Sailor Reservist
3rd Night truck off loader for lowes

(I try to get enough money to buy the C-6, just can't get there)

hehe....I remember when i was a young bimbo i worked as a hooter shooter girl.I had just got my license and was driving my brothers ford escort back and forth to work.A couple blocks from the club, this guy had a 1984 corvette parked in front of his house for sale.I wanted that car badly and literally worked my hooters off for 6 months so i could afford to buy that car.I put up with alot of crap from the customers at that club so i could put the money together.Well the day finally arrived and my girlfreinds and i showed up to buy the car.It was kind of odd because all the neighbors came over and were standing around laughing and drinking beers while this guy and i completed the transaction.Well as soon as all the money was in his hand, this guy leaped for joy and everyone was like cheering. They had a barbecue going and where literally dancing in the street..haha.Welp,me and the girls headed to my house and about 30 minutes from home, the car started bucking and overheated. It eventually died about 2 miles from my house and had to be towed.
My 19 year old "know it all" brother said he could fix it and took the engine apart.About 2 months later he put it all back together and it wouldnt run.It sat in my yard for about a year and i finally sold it for 800.00 to some guys from puerto rico. They called me a month later and told me the engine was wasted and had been put back together with the lifters upside down.

When i was a bit of an older bimbo i worked as a dancer and i made a new years resolution to purchase a new corvette by the end of that year.I worked two shifts,6 days per week and put up with some serious crap [slobering drunks, abuse from customers and staff, catfights with other girls etc...] but on august 29th i went to the dealer and bought a brand new 1996 black on black 6 speed corvette.I friggin loved this car more than anything...and needless to say i came out of work at 3am one night and she was gone!! vanished into thin air with 7,600 miles on it.All that work for this car and it was gone is 60 seconds.. haha. Certainly was a learning experience and to educate me even more, the insurance company gave me an extremely hard time and 2 months after the theft, refused to pay me for the car!! 2 years later and thousands in lawyers fees, the insurance company apologized and paid me about 60% of the cars value.
Back to work again, slaving away night after night,i took the insurance check and some savings and bought a used 1994 ZR1. Wasnt as sweet as my 96 but the power of this car was incredible!! I told my insurance company that i refused to put full coverages on the car. I only wanted what was required by law, after the screwing the insurance company gave me on my 1996.I was making enough money i figured any damage i would just take care of myself...haha....well,about 4am on my way home from work one beautiful fall evening, bambi and its entire family decided to run out in front of me on the parkway while i was cruising at about 80mph.It wasnt the impact of the deer that was the worst,it was the hood which broke up and covered the windshield along with the air bag punching me in the face that i drove off the road and hit trees and flipped her 2 or 3 times. There was not one exterior part on the car that wasnt damaged and with no collision coverage,i owned every broken piece!! this is how i got into the corvette used parts business.
My "know it all brother" said he could fix her up and i ended up buying about 3 other wrecked corvettes to get the parts together to fix my corvette.Well, about a year later my brother told me that my ZR1 frame had enough damage that it wasnt worth fixing.Great news knowing that i was now the proud owner of not 1 but now 4 wrecked, damaged corvettes.
