Not to hijack this thread, but speaking of gas and gas MILEAGE......I have a 99 Tahoe 4dr 4x4 with a 350, do the K&N filter sytems really get you bette rgas mileage??

Yes, they're supposed to give you better mileage. K&N claims that as well as most out there. Don't know if they really do, though.

1.30 / litre >> 4.92 / US Gallon >> $ 6.13 / US Gallon !! in France:cry :mad

How much of that is tax? :mad

$2.85 a gallon here just outside of Tacoma, Wash. The sad thing is my 84 gets better milage than my wife's 02 Explorer or my 96 Silverado. Thankfully, I have a County vehicle for work and pay no attention to prices for that car.:cry

2.73 here at the BP by my house...but it is going to go up again tomorrow if the owner of the gas station where I work at is right... :(

Riverside County, CA

$2.95 Chevron Premium
...going up this week
:gap

$2.65 / gal here on the Gulf Coast.

Its gone up $.30 in the past week. If that isn't price gouging I don't know what is. Its not like there is more of a shortage from the beginning of last week.

update......Cleveland Oh......western suburbs.....

2.69 87 octane

2.79 89 ocatane

2.89 92 octane.......

Here too

Let's see I was sitting at the light this morning looking at the price of 87 octane at 249 and before the light changed it jumped to 269 for 87octane That makes 91 octane 2.89 +

Gee it's fun being retired and on fixed income. :eyerole All my life I worked hard to earn a living and save for the day I would retire and be able to have a Corvette. :upthumbs Never did I dream that it would end up in the front yard being used as a flower pot.:cry

Now where did I put the horse and saddle.:J

Actually the reverse is already in progress - a local business is building a plant to convert hard coal to gas, and it's a short step to convert your car to run on fuel gas.

Is this like natural or LP gas or is it a liquid at ambiant temp ?

$2.69

Glad I don't drive the Vette much. It only gets filled up about once a month, if that.

These are the same prices as of 5:00 today here in Sidney, Ohio :mad. Besides my motorcycles, my vette is the best thing I have as far as fuel milage goes, It is just my luck that it has been raining for the last couple of days and that the Vette is in the shop being painted :ugh So I am stuck driving the 4x4 for now. Is this the thanks the U.S.A. gets for helping out the East?

I wonder what our commander in chief is paying for gasoline?

The price of premium gas in Laurel Maryland is anywhere from $2.57 (FreeState)to $2.95 (Shell) and the stations are just 2 mile apart.

Now it goes up 6 cents overnight. The reason stated earlier in the week is that it was because of worries about the hurricane hitting the coast. Now the hurricane is not hitting the coast and staying out to sea. So why didn't the prices slack off?

$2.70 (premium) in South Jersey.

I heard today on the news that after Labor Day the prices will start to come down. We'll see!!!
