Where do you take your vettes for oil changes & minor repairs? I'm thinking of the dealer, I'm not doing it myself, not worth the hassle.

I change my own oil and drop the used oil off at AutoZone.

The dealer gets it for a lot of other stuff but I also use a repair shop that I trust for most routine stuff.

Take it to a place you trust - dealer/small garage - it really depends on the people in your area.

Hi
At the beginning do not take chance's on somebody recommending a shop unless it is vette friendly and l do not mean working a vette every now and again.

Go to your local dealer and ask for a mechanic that is the go to guy at the dealership on vettes.

Ask us at the beginning if you have questions about approx cost and where to pick up after market items.

I'm not sure what's easier, having a dealer/jiffy lube/whoever do it and THEN cleaning up their mess on the carpets/seats/drips underneath on the garage floor

OR

do it myself & keep the car spotless.

Wallmart Rocks !! ;LOL Make sure you check the dipstick before taking the car from wherever you go because like with anything.. there are some real dipsticks out there in real life!

In my opinion, unless there is a physical problem with you doing it yourself, I would only trust myself or maybe a close friend. The dealer would probably be my next choice, but even that is a stretch. No body repects your property as much as you do. And something this simple as this can be done by anyone with a simple tool set. IMHO it's definately worth "the hassle"

I will probably take it to the dealer for now until I find a small garage I can trust, thanks

I got tired of doing my own and then storing and disposing of the oil and filters, so I go to my neighborhood Valvoline Rapid Oil change. However, I open and close the hood and I stand there and watch them the whole time they are working on it. The only problem I have had is sometimes they use a little too much grease and I end up with a glob on the inside of the wheel.
