White Sands Corvette Club

Today was my first experience in interacting with a group of Corvete lovers. I live in Alamogordo New Mexico, an enthusiast decided it was well overdue to start a local Corvette Club.

Well, today was the club's second caravan. The first was to White Sands Missle Range. Unfortunately, I missed it. I regret it so much considering the grins I had today!

Ten of us ranging from a 74 Big Block to a 2002 ZO6 headed to the Ruidoso New Mexico Rod Run. A beautiful day driving through our mountains with just the ten of us. It was a truly cool day that in some way confirmed my decision to be one of you.

Hope this didn't seem to sappy. But I had a freaking blast today!

Well, we had another meeting Wed night. It seems a guy at the car show was interested. He was from Ruidoso NM and said he'd be down for our next meeting.

Guess what, showed up with 8 of his friends. From a 74 roadster to a beautiful ZR-1. Even had an another Z06 show up!

We're growing. This is too fun!

Isn't great !!!! can't beat a bunch of vettes going down the road together.Last sunday after our club meeting we got a police escort(we asked for it) from the Mt.Pleasant police dept. to go get our pictures(not mug shots) taken at a local maritme museum- I think the police had as much fun as we did racing between the lights Dennis

I know what you mean Dennis. It was just so cool all with all those guys pulling up. We plan on meeting again this month with close to 20 together in our little town. Can't wait man! The local car club is having a show and poker run. Me and the wife and of course Bluvet are there!
