Hi All,
Driving home tonight, my analog oil pressure guage was pegged at 80 PSI, while the DIC read 130 PSI. There were no other signs of any trouble. She was running normal. I turned the car off for a few minutes in hopes that it would reset, but it did not. Oil and filter were changed less than 1000 miles ago. Any ideas? Need to take the car on a 600 mile run up the state this weekend and I am now hesitant. HELP PLEASE
Regards~
Jeff

Jeff ,
Do an advanced search for keywords "oil pressure" and select the C5 Technical and Performance forum. There you will find several other owners that have had the same problem as you describe. It appears the sensor is at fault, some have stated turn the key on but do not start and if the oil pressure is up then the sensor is the problem. Anyway, read the posts and good luck. Sounds like you are OK, just need a replacement.

I thank you both! I probably should have searched the forum before starting another thread. This is a FANTASTIC reference tool. Luckily, I have one more year left on the Warranty so Monday she goes to the Dealer. Still have to go upstate this weekend, but due to the weather I might encounter, it looks like the HEMI MAGNUM will win the coin toss. Tule fog, lightning and thunder, not a nice place for a ragtop.
Best Regards~
Jeff
