Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

WOW! Big performance gain!!!

The rockers will most likely fit but the polu lock nut won't. You have to remove the drip tabs and then still it might be necessary to use a thicker cork gaskets, some poly lock nuts are so tall that the covers won't bot down properly.

Ever Faster...

Well Guys, I haven't visited this thread for a while!!!

I never got round to installing a new Cam into my '82 in the end... I'm now saving up for a C5! I hope to buy one sometime next year.

But I still love the '82... and you know how I said I was sure I could get my 0 to 60 down to 6.5 seconds...

Well... get this, I did a new test with my G-Tech in better weather conditions, more grip etc. I managed a 0 to 60 run in 6.51 seconds. Virtually spot on!!!

...And still this is a 1982 Corvette with relatively simple mods. Now that's respectable performance for a C3 Corvette!!!

Cheers

Zektor,

If you think Roller Rockers made a big difference...you should see the power gain from having a complete Roller Motor (roller rockers, roller cam, and roller lifters). I did this to mine last summer and increased the torque to an almost scary level when you jump on it. Plus, the longevity on the motor should be much better too.

I used to live in Cornwall for about a year. Nice place in the summer...but a ghost town in the winter months.

Ta Dah Mate !
