You guys that are running the electric fans,Where did you put the censor to turn on the fans? The fans I am running suggest the censor go in the head,But I dont remember there being a place to install the censor in the head. I makes cense because it would then turn the fans on if the engine gets a heat soak,Also I am thinking of wireing the fans constant hot so even if the key is off they would come on if the censor was calling for the fans.
Lastley .I am using an alarm in the car that has satilite tracking (simular to Lojack) and I plan on installing a small 12 volt Battery hidden with the tracker (incase the car is stolen and the battery cables are cut) the tracker would still be able to run. The alarm system power will stay with the main battery circut this way if it does end up in the hands of a bad guy the alarm shuts off when the main battery wires are cut and they will look no further for the tracker.
Is there any special way I have to tie this extra battery into the circut so it charges from the alternator.
Z28Canuck said:How was the progress over the weekend? I don't envy you guys trying to get all this work done in a few weeks and in this unusual humidity and excessive heat too? It's tough, demanding goals you guys have set for yourselves but admirable the pace that you all keep up to.
Good luck and try keep the fridge full.
Z28Canuck said:Is this Saturday still a tentative fire up date? Any more wiring to do or is that pretty well it for now? Hopefully you're getting the little bit cooler weather that we are the last few days. At least the humidity has gone down and the temp is in the 80-85 F rather than the mid-high 90s and even over a hundred with the humidex. Makes a huge difference for you poor guys still trying to do all this work on your cars.
Good luck and I hope all goes well for your fire up!

Sorry I don't have a video camera but I do have some good news for you. Check out the response that JohnZ sent about the nonadjustable valve train. It's good enough for new Vipers. Tell you what, before we fire it up on Saturday, lets upgrade your antique adjustable valvetrain to that low maintenance version. Should only add a day or two delay. While we're at it, let's add that Ginsu Air Turbulator to your carb that's guaranteed to add power AND increase your mileage.

BTW, did you add those deer whistles to your bumpers yet? Just say the word and I'll stop by Advance Auto Parts on the way off the island. Simply a service I provide.![]()
