If you order a C6 with Z-51, do you get the performance axle automatically, or do you have to order that too? Anyone know about this?

I am getting the 6 speed manual. So then does it come with a different axle? and if so, is it a major difference?

No the rear gears will be the same on all 6-speeds. The Z51 will come with a different transmission. The 6-speed that comes with the Z51 is the same as currently being used in the Z06. That's the reason I ordered the Z51 I want that transmission.

HI there,
With the Z51 package and an automatic transmission, you also get a rear differential oil cooler, which is actually an oil to oil cooler.
Transmission fluid, coming back to the transmission from the cooler at the radiator, is channeled to a very small radiator next to the rear differential.
The diff fluid is pumped via a small pump inside the diff to the cooler. There, heat is dissipated into the transmission fluid and the cooler.
This effectively reduces both tranmission fluid and differential fluid temperatures, in one effective unit.
The manual equipped version is slightly different, however the theory remains the same.
Very nice design, and simple in function.

The ordering info I read shows a 3.42 w/ the 6 speed; a 3.14 performance axle w/ automatic, as an option or part of the Z-51 package. :w
