How do I know if it is full?

I had it installed 2 years ago and thought it would do me well to inspect the fluid level.
I see the access plug but dont know how to check the level.....

Thanks, ~Chas

Remove the plug, the fluid should be within 1/4" of the hole. If you put your little finger in and you feel or see fluid on your finger than you are alright. :)

Many Thanks Rick:beer

I've wondered the same thing about my Muncie 4 speed. Do I use the same tech. and what kind of lube is used and how many quarts.

Thanks

Yup, same check. Uses SAE 75W90 or 80W90 gear lube (or "GM Syncromesh Transmission Fluid" at your dealer); Muncie takes 3 pints. :)

reminder

Hi dont forget if you have a positraction type axle, you require the correct GM special additive, to stop any chatter noises when turning, its available at any gm dealer, regards wayne.
