D&M did a cluster for me. They were nice to deal with but the cluster had to go back 3 times to get the faces right.
Now I would use Roger Scott at Corvette instruments. He has done work for me since and he is fast and really does a nice job. He knows his stuff!!

Nassau Blue was the most popular color choice in '65 with 6,022 being made. How many were big or small blocks I don't think anyone knows for sure.
Unless you have original paperwork with the car there is no way to tell what color the top was originally so you can always change that to white...
If you have doubts I would keep looking. To put another 15K into the car you are at 55K and still have the stamp pad issue. As far as selling the car later if you do you will end up being the one trying to justify the stamp pad to a potential buyer and it will always be an issue.

Mine originally went in to fix a one inch blister caused by a repair shop and ended up with a complete color change back to stock. I was told 6 months. Then one thing led to another and hey while I'm at it I might as well do this and that and now 2 years comming up :L

Try Flitz polish. I have had great luck with this product. Polish parallel to the bumper and not in circles. I'll bet the swirls will come out.

I am into a huge resto project! It's a long story but this all started with a 1 1/2 inch paint blister that was caused by someone repairing the a/c. When I got the car it had been painted Sunfire yellow and the paint "accident" has grown into a full frame on restoration with me returning the car...
