Can anyone else weigh in on this? I recognize there are no guarantees in life, but strongly considering taking the plunge now unless there is a good chance a 2012 model will exist.
What do you all prefer on a black ZR1? Chrome wheels vs Silver. For some reason, I've never been a chrome wheel fan, but they look pretty darn cool on the ZR1. What do you think?
End of production rumor
A local dealer claims that the ZR1 may be at the end of production, with approximately 80 cars left to come off the line. Has anybody anywhere heard anything to substantiate this?

Has anyone heard of any plans to make a Z06 or ZR1 convertible toward the end of the C6 cycle? Putting a LS7 or LS9 in a standard convertible?

If they make a supercharged engine, how badly will this affect the longevity? Also, an older Autoweek article says that they'll make it 6.2 liters instead of 7.0 due to the supercharger, presumably to have thicker cylinder walls. Does this sound right?

C2's are called Sting Rays, and C3's are called Stingrays (one word). The Stingray name was dropped from later C3's.
I would love to see them clean up the hood a little bit on the black car in the photographs and paint the center bulge like a "stinger" from 1967.
Is it a sin to drive one of these things as a daily driver? I'm sure that technically they're a fine car for such use, but what do you all think about this practice? Should these historic cars be driven in a more limited fashion?
