    End of Production Rumor

Can anyone else weigh in on this? I recognize there are no guarantees in life, but strongly considering taking the plunge now unless there is a good chance a 2012 model will exist.

    Chrome vs Silver Wheels

Have you had any trouble maintaining the wheel at all? Is the chrome at least fairly durable? Thanks. I really appreciate the advice.

    Chrome vs Silver Wheels

What do you all prefer on a black ZR1? Chrome wheels vs Silver. For some reason, I've never been a chrome wheel fan, but they look pretty darn cool on the ZR1. What do you think?

    End of Production Rumor

Sounds good. One would think that there would be some type of public announcement/"warning" before the end of the line, right?

    End of Production Rumor

End of production rumor A local dealer claims that the ZR1 may be at the end of production, with approximately 80 cars left to come off the line. Has anybody anywhere heard anything to substantiate this? -GH

    Any convertible plans?

It's been a while since my last post... Has anyone heard of any plans to make a Z06 or ZR1 convertible toward the end of the C6 cycle? Putting a LS7 or LS9 in a standard convertible? Thanks, Greg

Fast-Autos.net Forum Member Photographs SS Test Mule

I see. My bad. If they make a supercharged engine, how badly will this affect the longevity? Also, an older Autoweek article says that they'll make it 6.2 liters instead of 7.0 due to the supercharger, presumably to have thicker cylinder walls. Does this sound right?

DOHC motor? I may be looking at this wrong, but aren't the spark plugs going through the center of the valve covers like a LT-5 or Hemi?

Captured! Corvette Blue Devil (Stingray?) Mule In The Flesh

Stingray C2's are called Sting Rays, and C3's are called Stingrays (one word). The Stingray name was dropped from later C3's. I would love to see them clean up the hood a little bit on the black car in the photographs and paint the center bulge like a "stinger" from 1967.

    ZR-1 Daily Driver

What are the bad things that happen to the engine, and what do you do about it when these bad things happen?

    ZR-1 Daily Driver

How does the LT-5 hold up to this type of use, and is it difficult or costly to repair?

    ZR-1 Daily Driver

Is it a sin to drive one of these things as a daily driver? I'm sure that technically they're a fine car for such use, but what do you all think about this practice? Should these historic cars be driven in a more limited fashion?

Automotive News Reports More Power For Corvette

Following a simple formula Sounds good to me. If something out there is beating the Corvette, then Chevrolet needs to respond.

Thank you all very much. Very helpful information.

    ZR-1 Aging process

I'll be looking for a '94-95 ZR-1 come summer of '06, and am just now getting more serious about researching the car. One of the things that I have not been able to come across is this: Should I be looking for one with the fewest miles possible (like 1-2k) or one with a few more miles on it? If...

    Z06 Blue Devil

On last week's Car and Driver Television, they showed spy shots of what they claimed was a Z06 Blue Devil on the track. They stated that it was a car with the LS7 PLUS a supercharger with >600 hp. Has anyone else seen this or heard anything else on such a development? Sorry if this is a...

What Differences Would You Want to See?

Rob, you're right. More power would be key, but I'd like to not only see more power, but a special, 'elite' engine only for the Vette. Like an LT-5 to the ZR-1. Something that the other Vettes, [?future] Cameros, Caddys, etc. won't have. A honeycomb aluminum frame (ala Shelby Series 1)...

    Aztek vs. C6

My understanding is that the Aztec was a 'design by committee' and Peters was the fall guy. The C6 is an amazing car, at least by looks. I can't wait to see the Z06 or whatever the next upgrade will be called. Greg

    Gen IV Small Block

I thought that the only carry-over parts between the gen 1 and 2 were some barings and the crank shaft. It had a different block, different dimentions, etc.

    Gen IV Small Block

First off, I love the C6. It's going to be a great, great car. I'm not sure, however, if I like the idea of them calling the LS2 a "Generation IV." Unless I'm mistaken, this is the exact same engine block as the LS1/6, but it has been bored out to 6.0 liters. The stroke is the same. I've...
