The time has come and I need to have my tranny rebuilt. I have a 1996 LT-1 (auto) and it has started to slip. The question that I have is multiple:
1) What should I upgrade since I am having to rebuild/replace the tranny?
2)Rebuild or order a new one and just install?
3)Complementary...
I'm changing to a C6 Style wheel so my oldies are for sale. They look awesome but due to a heavy right foot , only the front tires are useable....

Personally unless you really desire the stock stero, spend the money and upgrade to an aftermarket system. I find them to be much better for most things. A newer player will give you the capability of using the latest formats in music such an Ipods and MPs's etc. Do it right the first time so...
I have a 1996 LT-1 coupe with 8.5 inch fronts and 9.5 inch rears. The fronts take a 255/45/17. I recently got a set of chromed rims from a 1992 which consists of 4 rims that are 9.5 inches each. Can I put my 255/45/17 tires on the front and if I do will it affect my handling. Will the tire roll...
I just installed hooker shorty headers and a Borla Catback exhaust on my 1996 LT-1. I have an exhaust leak at the headers. The mechanic says this is due to the crappy gaskets that I used(I used what came with the package). He recommends copper gasket. Will this make the problem go away forever...

Not as much as I would have thought but the guys dynoing are telling me that is what I should expect....
