As stated above, the CTS that the ECM uses for its calculations ( and the digital temp indication ) is located in the water pump Gauge sender is in the head Oil temp sender is located above the oil filter

Independent sources Analog temp from the sender in the head ; digital temp from the CTS in the WP via the ECM Check wiring tosender, ground the relevant wire at the sender and see if the gauge moves ? If it does ,sender is most likely faulty
