    Rough running 88 Vette

If you don't have these kinds of tools, try taking an injector off another cylinder and run it on number 4. Then look at your cap/rotor, number four could be burnt. If you didn't notice a problem like this when it went into the shop and all of the sudden now you've got a dead cylinder I don't...

Transmission Swap from 4sp/w OD to 6sp

As with Kens Richmond, you have to carve a hole about 12x12 and re-fibreglass to allow room. With the ZF-6 I don' think you have to.

    95 still idles high.....???

Now Im starting to think its a vaccum leak. Check and tighten the TB gaskets, check all your lines, and check the plenum and manifold.

    engine cuts out during curves

I third Chicks response as well. If a change out of the fuel filter doesn't prove to be the problem hook up the regulator to a fuel pressure gauge and try the car at WOT, idle, even try bouncing the car (Long shot).

    Dealership can't diagnose my prob!

I agree with the others.... If your not able take it to a mechanic and have them perform a fuel pressure check, a coil change out, an ACTUAL scan of the ECM, and check the ignition system.

    95 still idles high.....???

TPS? Did they actually do a scan or just test the IAC? Also how did this problem come into play? Gradually? Instantly one morning? Did you perform any repairs / modifcations?

Ken I actually like your wheels alot but I went to the tire rack and all I get is BBS in an 18 inch size. I even tried picking different years ( 1st gen C4's)

    Rebuilt Tranny problems

I agree they probably nailed the harness running beside the transmission FOR your ABS and have a pos lead grounding out somewhere. Sounds like an easy fix just make sure they use shrink tube and actually SOLDER the repair.

Questions about my new front monoleaf spring...

I was to understand 4.5 inchs off the ground is the factory specs. Now as for your "Lowerd car". Your mechanic is very much correct. Think about it. take a piece a 7 ply wood now put 100lbs on it now take away plys one at a time. What happens? The wood will arc and arc and arc lower and lower...

    painting

I agree taking a Vette to a body shop is considered a special thing to them (at least around here) There are certain percautions involved and special products to be used. Also bodymen use these cars to brag about how good they are. Now if your shop has done before getting information from...

POLL: Chrome, Silver or Black ZR1 rims on a White 92 coupe? Any pics?

Im REALLY not a fan of the black wheels nor the white (Sorry all) Im a flash guy yet not "Ben Hur". I like the Standards or the polished myself. I think for the amount of metal these rims have and show chrome is a little bit to much flash. IMHO of course. Now the Y2K wheels look good Chrome...

Basic easy and cheap tuning. What to do ?

Bud I think I saw that car in a picture you posted a while ago. Forget about modifing the car. Start repairing it! You could have a very nice car soon so my suggestion is don't destroy it further. I mean if you need a new coil throw a performance one in. If you need a new set of valve covers...

    Our stupid HORNS!

I don't know about you guys but my horn sounds like it belongs ona YUGO! I mean for THREE horns what a POS. But good news is... I got a Caddy in the shop today for more than enough in problems but for some reason I hit the horn....YA!! That thing sounds AWSOME Loud yet suttle, Masculine...

    Looking for mounting suggestions (DFUs)

Ken what about directly behind where is old distributer was on the firewall. That should allow the wires to be run evenly and look great as well.

87 stock to turbo intake, tell me about it what is the scoop?

One word Pre-detonation With a higher compression engine VIA naturally aspirated, sticking a turbo on with burn up the valve train as well as the pistons. So Im told. I guess this is very similar to using NOS improperly as well.

My Vette is very sick, Please read and help if you can

Typical Chev.... Ok have your mechanic entertain the idea that he cracked the magnets in the distributer. Our shop does like a dozen of these a month (mostly from the trucks but anyways) Chev's are VERY weak in this area. The magnet (If cracked) will most likey be in four pieces still being...

87 stock to turbo intake, tell me about it what is the scoop?

Cool I never knew that about the aftermarket turbo systems. I always thought it was adjusted from how sensitive the "pop" valve was.

This is what C6 SHOULD look like

I wish this car was made I think aside from the C12 Callaway this is the single best "Vette" ever created. All GM has to do is MAKE IT and they will come LOL Here what I think is the perfect C6

87 stock to turbo intake, tell me about it what is the scoop?

WHOA! Lol Turbo's have alot of extra costs involved that don't meet the consumers eye. (Computers, Exhaust manifolds, Engine bay mod's, etc..) Understand that "Turbo's" operate off of exhaust gas that powers an impeller that spins another impeller in another chamber to pump fresh air. Hence...
