I took my vette to a dealer to have it scanned,& the Iac is at 0. no sign of vacume leaks, adjusted throttle plates to get iac counts up but they are still not stable. the counts still go to 0. the idle is at 850 - 900 but will not adjust down with a 0 iac.... I had to take my car... could'nt afford to leave it...$$$$ can somebody help me on this one? thank you rob........................

TPS? Did they actually do a scan or just test the IAC?

Also how did this problem come into play? Gradually? Instantly one morning? Did you perform any repairs / modifcations?

95 with high idle

thanks big red...... the dealer scanned for codes ..none set. I never did any mods. i'm not sure how this prob. came into play,I have'nt had the car very long I just noticed one day when coming to a stop the idle would come down to about 1100-1200 stay there for a bit before dropping to 850-900 rpm, still to high, i'm very puzzled with this prob. I've had my vet scanned twice, the first time tps was at proper voltage... iac volts not stable...second time the dealer said iac counts not stable counts still go to 0. I replaced the iac , it still idles high. throttle body has been cleaned twice, new gaskets.....I dont know what to do ... can somebody help me........ thanks very much.......rob

Now Im starting to think its a vaccum leak. Check and tighten the TB gaskets, check all your lines, and check the plenum and manifold.

high idle...

thanks again big red........... I checked tb, new gaskets, checked all vacume lines they seem ok, plenum & manifold seem ok cant find a vacume leak....dont know what to do next.....somebody help......900 idle when warm. when coming to a stop I push in clutch rpm drops to about 1100 to 1200 if I tap gas pedel ,idle will drop fast to 900........

There is a vacuum tee under the right fuel rail cover. Have been known to deteriorate. You might try checking it just in case?:confused
