My 67 Coupe has the original dated carpet and is in good shape. During the restoration process, I had to remove the carpet from the bulkhead just behind the seats. It was glued down and came off in pieces. I see most parts houses sell sets or 1/2 sets. All I need is just this one piece. Anyone...
I am in the last stages of restoring a 67 Sunfire Yellow Coupe. I think Red-lined tires would look really nice with the yellow car. Also, I see many using 215/70 and 205/75 tires, I think the 215/70 would have a bolder look.. Any advise would be greatly appreciated... Pictures too. Kurt
I bought a set of four tail lamps on ebay, good price of $200. You see these around $250 from major vendors. When I received them they looked nice, but when I went to install them, they had issues. The inner set do not fit flush to the body panel. The seller was nice and sent a second pair- same...
JohnZ, My current column is dated 349 6 with a orange sticker 5698346. It has an early style lower bearing. The number is nothing like you mentioned?? Kurt
JohnZ, I was meaning the column date. I see one on Ebay with a 062 7 date. Thinking this would be a late column. The seller says it is an early type. The AIM calls for a new part # in late Feb 67. I was interested in what the column date would be around the time of the change. Any ideas?? Thank...
Thanks.. I found it where you said.. 349 6. My car is a 6/21/67 built unit. I guess I will need to find the later style column.. Maybe someone else has an early car with a late column and a swap will help both of us.. Kurt
I am reinstalling the engine loom and K-66 wire loom in my 67, the AIM does not explain what wire goes to what...Anyone know how to connect the K-66 to the engine loom?? I would hate to smoke this thing... Thanks, Kurt
ThomC, I have a Smith body that had 1140 in the same location. I also found 40 on the dash frame right below the speaker. I guess Smith and St Louis used their own set of #'s.. Kurt
I took mune off and hung them for a day, adding oil to the cable a little at a time. Gravity will allow the lube to run down the cable. Did mine just the other day and not they move tons smoother. Kurt
Gaskets were used. I did not tighten them down, just placed them in the panel to see how they fit the panel. Finish quality is great, just the inboard pair don't quite fit flush, maybe 1/16+ gap on the sides. Seconds?? They are not marked as such. Kurt
I just received a new set of repro tail lamp assemblies, the finish quality is nice but the fit on the inner pair is not that good. The outer pair fit fine. The originals fit perfect!!! Fit issues are that they don't fit tight up against the panel all the was around. The contour is a bit off...
Looks real nice!!! Are all the parts black to be correct? I see the rockers look green. I was thinking the bracket back by the tank and the shoulder belt mounts in the rear wheel well were green also??
I know I have read this before and can't find any info thru a search. What finish is on the underside brackets? My car is a 67 coupe-Smith body.. Thanks, Kurt
I too am in the process of dropping a body back on a frame. I see guys have used 2 post lifts, I assume the lifting arms are placed at each fender well. I saw a picture of this and it scares me. Although the factory lifted them by the fender wells?? I pulled the body with a 2 post lift, used 1...
