    C5's Sure Is Running Good...

I will have mine out today. It will drive past the crocus and daffodil blossoms in the garden. The sand has been swept from all the streets and it will be in the 50's today. Life is good! :upthumbs

    Questions about the "Z06" vette

My first Corvette was a '97 targa top coupe with an automatic transmission. It was fun, no doubt. But I always found myself looking at the 6-speeds with envy. When I decided to get a manual transmission 'Vette, I decided that I might as well get the beast and get a Z06. I like the roof line...

    New Tires

When Corvette tires cost what they do, it makes sense to avoid scrubbing them off with a bad alignment.

Vette Magazine---still the pillar of inaccuracy

Absolutely! :D Hib's article on the 2002 Z06 led directly to my buying mine. It was even electron blue.

    Z06 On National Geographic

I assume that was from Ultimate Factories? It has been on before, and it is on my Tivo. I visited the factory during the 2006 CAC Cruise Fest, so it was great to see the factory again on this show. Pretty cool stuff!

    C5 air box question

I did that with my '97. It did not make any real-world difference. Also, when you wash the car, water can get into the filter area. Take a look and you will see what I mean.

    C5's In The Snow

Remo, Remo, Remo...:nono First of all, your winter meds leave you in such a stupor that wishful thinking is the only thing that can still perform. Secondly, you have been around longer than the Corvette, and maybe the automobile as well. You would require additional medications. Viagra...

Be Cool: Common Pitfalls For The C5 Owner, And how To Avoid Them

Remo- In order to enter and exit the vehicle as Patrick has described, keep one image in mind. This is how a woman in a skirt would get in and out. :chuckle PS That is exactly how this girly-man has to do it as well. Do NOT picture me in a miniskirt, as no amount of winter meds can help...

    Help! can't see!

I had to replace mine as well. They are not cheap. I believe that there are people who have successfully had the lights repaired/replaced, but I do not know who does that or how long it takes. Maybe someone else will post of their experience with that. Good luck!

    Changing the headlight bulbs?

I put the Silverstars in my Z06. It is an improvement, for sure. But not as much as I had hoped. The C5 lights are not very good. I am a big guy with big hands and I could do the job. It was tight, but it can be done.
