Yeah, I haven't been around too much lately. My biggest issue is that I ran for local Town Council and won - so my free time has been somewhat limited! But at least I have time for the Vette and she is in fine shape, except for the temp problem.
Already put in a new thermostat - did that when...
Already done LT4Man - thanks. Actually pulled the radiator. Did that once when I first got the car and found a fair amount of stuff. Did it again when we had this heating problem and didn't find much at all. I thik the previous owner must have liked running over stuff!
Hey Junk! Just the man I wanted to reply - one of the sharpest guys around and another Carolinian too!
I agree with all you said, and I know all about the fans and temps - all learned from the great guys here.
The ony thing that concerns me is that is that it changed, and changed pretty...
I have had my '95 coupe for over 4 years now and know her pretty well.
At some time over the past few months, she has started running 10-15 degrees hotter than usual. I can't say how long that change took, but I usually run with the Cool digital display on, and it used to be around 184, and now...
The loop on my key fob where the keyring attaches broke. I tried to glue it back on, but it doesn't hold forever.
So I need a fob CASE for a '95 - I guess the best thing would be if I could find somebody with a non-working fob that I could just get the case off cheap.
Any ideas? Thanks...
In over 2 years, this is my 95's the first real "age" problem.
I was driving in the rain recently (yes, it happens) with, of course, the headlights on. I signaled a left turn, and the turn indicator on the dash stayed on solid but lower intensity. If I turned off the lights, the turn signal...
Actually happened once to me (not on Vette). JL service guy came in holding engine oil dipstick - said was transmission oil and needed to be changed! I turned him in to the manager (who probably knew they were doing that scam).

Yes, they pulled the cable to defeat the 1-4 CAGS shift. But, there were better ways. You can get small cable assemblies that connect both ends of the cable, both to hold them and keep them clean (for future connection) and in some later models to defeat the 1-4 idiot light on the instrument...
When you compose the reply, click on the icon in the icon bar above that looks like a black mountain in fromt of a yellow sky - I have no idea what that means! A box will pop up prompting you for the URL - just type it in.
Be sure you have the cursor where you want the image to be before you...
My '95 always requires that the clutch pedal be pushed in to start. So, that says there is a switch somewhere in the clutch linkage. I don't know where it is, but shouldn't be too hard to find.

Latest Update
I went out this morning to open the windows up to continue drying out. All seems nice and dry underneath the seat, so if it was something leaking, it ain't leakin' now! We did drive for about 1/2 hour last night.

If it's not the fluid, then I would highly suspect the master or slave.
When I got my '95, she leaked a bit of fluid and the previous owner just drove around with a can of brake fluid. He even used quick unclip cable ties to hold the ECM so he could get in there quickly:D
Anyhow, I decided I...
If I am going to pull the carpet, I am going to replace them all - old and worn - just haven't had the chance to even think about that work.
But, she was up on the lift just a couple of weeks ago and we pretty throughly went over the underside - nothing obvious. Also, the brown definitely...
