Anyone out ther running them, any comments. The price appeals to me but not sure how they will fit. They also seem to offer differnt lengths, I am thinking the 60" are the size for my 77. Any pictures or better yet sound clips with them on?
Thanks
Okay I have replaced the headlight switch and re-built the right actuator. They both come up now, but the left one arives at its final destination about a second before the right is this normal, or is there something else to be done.
I am wondering if anyone can tell me what changed in 77 that seems to indicate that a radio from a 76 and older would not work. Is this just with the factory items, or is this also true in the aftermarket? I can get one for a 76 that is a decent price, but not sure it would work. Thoughts?
I took our 77 on its first significant trip so far, about 250 miles last weekend. Ran like a top and handled well, but and there is always a but, the cruise did not work, it would engage but then is surged and would not hold the proper speed. I am thinking it is likely a vacuum leak, cause it...
I have run into a problem and am looking from some advise. I am replacing the front cable as part of a re-build. Is there anyway to get the cable through the pulley without removing it? The problem is I can't get the pulley bolt out, as it appears it is seized in the spacer. I have soaked it...
I am looking to replace the tires on my 77. It has aftermarket rims that appear to be about 7 3/4", it presently has 255/60/15 on the back and 235/60/15 on the front, I think this looks a little goofy, but that is what I got. I am wondering if it would be better to go to a 225/70/15 which...
I think I have to repalce the right side dust shield as it appears the parking brake must have froze on the previous owner and the hole the arm goes through is tore up. I have looked everywhere for information and so far nothing. I know that someone out there will point me in the right...
I have another little problem on my 77, that I need to repair, the lever to change from low to high beam has to pulled hard back, in fact it snapped off, it appears the dimmer switch is at the very end of its travel. The mechanic says it needs to be adjusted, I can't for the life of me figure...
I just got my 77 out of storage and have to do the work for the safety. I have just starrted working on it and already problems. I can't remove the front rotors that I need to replace! I drilled out the large flat head of the rivet and have tried everything I can think of to get the rotor off of...
I have a problem with the driver's door of my car. The lock was seized when I bought it, and the whole thing turns around. I need to get a new cylinder, but it appears that the tabs on the fiberglass that hold the cylinder in place are rounded off. I am looking for a way to fix it, but not sure...
I have another question I have a hood alignment issue. The hood is flush at the front and almost flush at the back, but along the sides it is about 1/4" - 1/3" lower, it is equal along both sides. There are no Hood Alignment bumpers, but looking at photos of different cars it appears that many...
I have a minor glitch with my headlights. They work fine, but they do not come up when you pull the switch out, only when you use the override. Is this a sign of a needing new switch or is it some other issue. Thanks.
So I finally got my 1st C3 and took it down to get a safety(read government mandated tax grab!) I need to repace a motor mount and the parking brakes are seized as well it needs lower ball joints.
I am wondering about the following;;help
1. can the motor mount be replaced in the driveawy without...
I have a problem in my 77 with the left rear running/brake light, here is what I have seen.
Brakes alone – Right OK Left Dull
Turn Signals alone - Right OK Left Dull
Running Lights alone – Right Ok Left Dull
Running and Turn Signals – Right OK Left Dull turn no running (goes out)
Running and...
After three years of looking I have put a deposit on my 1st. Corvette.:) I always though I wanted an 78 - 82 but I fell in love with the "notch" backs a couple of years ago. I located a 77 light blue L82 the the fellow has owned from 1982, worked at the dealership where it originally came from...
In the humble forums opinion, is there a benefit to getting an 82 with the fuel injection. I would assume you would get a little better gas mileage and perhaps performance, but you also have a computer to contend with so modding the engine may be more difficult. I realize that there is a vast...
I was able to get a look at the 81 I mentioned earlier. It is pretty nice shape for a 25 year old car. the paint was good a few scratches and one chip on the nose. Tires were good and the aluminum wheels with spinners were very nice. The interior was ok, some signes of wear on carpet and seats...
This is probably a stupid question, but why are 68 - 82 referred to as "Sharks" I know they were called "Stingrays" but have no idea where "Shark" comes from. :confused Sorry for such a stupid question, but unless I ask I will never know. Thanks.:J
I am looking for a 78-82 vette:D , and I want some advice as to what to watch out for/look for. I am presently selling my motorcycle and I know that the forums were a great help. I was a Mustang guy in my youth, but I have always had a desire for a vette and I love the lines of the 78-82. I have...
