These aren't the latest pics. Since these were taken, the posts have been taken down further. Haven't tried the gas cap lid yet but am thinking about putting on a lemans cap anyway. I already have the vert glass. Found it on the forum for $50 both sides. I think the price new I had found...
Yeah, your state taxes when you register it. As far as fees, should be the same as any other dealers. They have to disclose it to you up front so just ask.
Update on vert project
Got a good start on the car this spring then had too many things come up causing it to go on the back burner. I have pics of the process, I just need to post them. Right now, I have everything from the windshield to the back of the car disassembled. A new interior is...
I had a similar type problem when I first got my 78. The distributer had been changed and finally a mechanic found a small piece of plastic that had broken off under the cap and was causing the problems.
Be careful with assuming after 10-15 days, your bank clears the check. I found out the hard way that this is the time that they usually give before they make the amount available in your account but not necessarily the time that it takes for the check to actually clear.
In my situation after...
My mistake. I was responding about the $250. Fifty is good. I think my computer is messed up. After I posted I just realized there were numerous posts that hadn't shown up on my screen prior. Glad you found one at a decent price.
It's priced high for the restorers out there. You can find one much cheaper. You have the tub it goes in correct? If so, it's just a chevy spare. If you just want it for emergency purposes and not for restoration check your local salvage yard for one. My 78 has a GM spacesaver there.
I don't think the insulation was really for heat or sound as much as it was for fire. If you engine caught on fire the theory was plastic clips would melt and it would fall on engine and put out fire. Atleast that was what I was always told.
I saw either here or on another forum a few people who had them and didn't like them on their cars. Check the forums and you can probably buy a set from someone here or there.
Bet the luggage rack on the back doesn't sound so bad anymore huh? LOL. I've never checked my spare or thought about where to put the flat tire. good thing you didn't have a passenger.
I just bought one that is listed as imperfect. Haven't received it yet but got a great deal. From the pics it does look flimsy.
Run a search on dashes. Mine started cracking when I removed it so I just ripped it out in pieces expecting to buy another one. Afterwards, I searched for a dash...
Barry Grant makes them. Here's a link to Paceperformance that sells an engine with it They are pretty sharp. Go to Barry's website and he has alot of info there. I am thinking about getting them also.

It's probably your gearing that is keeping you from geting the mileage you expected. I get about 12 to 14 in mine. I'm considering going to an OD tranny to help out mileage and wear on engine.
I can't remember what my C4 jack looked like. Isn't it just a common scissor jack? If so, it should work no problem. The C3 just uses a common GM scissor, nothing special.
