First off ask yourself what you want from this car. Is it something to drive and enjoy or are you looking to work it back into shape. I bought my second Vette (an 87 with 64k on it) with alot of the same issues (paint ,weather stripping etc.) 3 years later i was into the car for over 18,000...
Open your hood and see if those switches turn off the under hood lights. Thats about the only reason I can think of that someone would put switches like that in.
Why don't we concentrate on the one thing we have in common CORVETTES. Heres to leaving religion and politics off this web site.

I read in one of the forums yesterday that someone was having a problem finding the right tire size so I looked up 85 corvette wheels to check the size. The last posting was for 4-17inch wheels, 2 at 9.5in, and 2 at 11in and the picture showed them being sawblades with no scratches for $400.00...
I had Yokahama Avids on my 87 Corvette They handled well and had a good ride but I had bad problems with dry rotting. I replaced them at 4000 miles with Bf Goodrich g-force. I don't drive my Vettes much but always put protectant on my tires and they still rotted badly around the bead.I would...

Hell all I took the beast out of winter storage today. Has'nt really been driven since November and I noticed the oil pressure reading was at 70psi at 2500 rpms. I don't remember it being that high last season but I could be being paranoid.Oil level is perfect and I run Royal Purple synthetic...
