Question: Newbie here-to buy or not a 1992

First off ask yourself what you want from this car. Is it something to drive and enjoy or are you looking to work it back into shape. I bought my second Vette (an 87 with 64k on it) with alot of the same issues (paint ,weather stripping etc.) 3 years later i was into the car for over 18,000...

    What does that button do?

Open your hood and see if those switches turn off the under hood lights. Thats about the only reason I can think of that someone would put switches like that in.

Question: So do you like the 15" rims or the 17" rims?

I have to go with the OEM wheels, they look best to me. But then again I am a Corvette purist.

How do I justify 2 Corvettes?

Biggest reason I can think of is you have done you work. successful children great job good marriage Now it is time to indulge yourself with no regrets. Because you can. Buy it enjoy and don't worry about an investment. When you sell find the butt for the seat.

Might have found deal on E-bay

I read in one of the forums yesterday that someone was having a problem finding the right tire size so I looked up 85 corvette wheels to check the size. The last posting was for 4-17inch wheels, 2 at 9.5in, and 2 at 11in and the picture showed them being sawblades with no scratches for $400.00...

    Yokohama Tires

No I can't say I ever drove my car if it was below 50. To much salt on the roads in New England.

    Yokohama Tires

I had Yokahama Avids on my 87 Corvette They handled well and had a good ride but I had bad problems with dry rotting. I replaced them at 4000 miles with Bf Goodrich g-force. I don't drive my Vettes much but always put protectant on my tires and they still rotted badly around the bead.I would...

    OIl pressure reading high?

Yes once it warmed up it dropped to aroung 40 psi and stays around there at idle. If I rev up the engine in neutral it also shoots up high.
