I needed one a few years ago, mine came out in too many pieces to use. An early 76 replacement was too expensive for me $400+, but found a smaller one that fit and was ok. Never going to be a NCRS Vette, so it worked out fine. Good luck in your search.

First off, thank you for all your comments, very much appreciated. Another question - are there any aftermarket exhaust systems or air filter systems that may void these warranties? I know most of us change out both of these fairly soon and was wondering if GM had any issues with them.

Question on these GMPP Major Guard warranties: What is the advantage to having one of these on a new Vette that also has the extended 5yr 100K powertrain warranty? Would you be paying a premium for coverage you already have? On the fence -

I have one of these: Corvette C6 Bra, Corvette Bumper Mask, corvette bra , so far only problem is - my DRLs will sometime protrude a bit in cold weather, other than that it's like wearing nothing at all ........

On my 76 it goes to a port on the rear of the carb. Sorry no pics, but s/b easy to see.

If you determine it is the radio, you can contact http://www.doctordons.com/index.html and have your original repaired for about the same price of an after market one. Just another thought. Let us know what the problem was. :upthumbs

I use a magnet on the inside of the back glass and put the sat antenna on the outside. It doesn't move around, looks ok and seens to work fine. Good luck

I vote to keep the Vettes together - Fords are better by themselves anyway. Oh to have your problems! Very nice "stable" you got going there. ;worship

I remember seeing a video on youtube in re: to a simple total trans fluid change on a C4 by Gordon Killebrew. It may work on a C3 as well, but I don't know of anyone ever doing it. It might be worth a shot to look into just to see what it's all about. Good luck and keep us posted - :w

Thanks for the tip, I'll give that a try. I'm using a magnet now that I place opposite the antenna on the rear window. Seems to be working OK, but I like your idea of keeping it inside. :w

I have an adapter similar to one that Guy has, (from PIE elctronics) but the biggest problem I have with the XM is in finding a decent place for the antenna. Good luck

Give them a call, I believe there is a way to do it. I've also heard that even w/o the 12 disc unit installed, the wiring harness may have been included on the head unit. I'm not sure where the easiest place would be to verify it though. :)
