Does anyone know where I can find the 0-60 time for a factory 93 Automatic Base Coupe?

that depends upon the gears

maybe 5.4 sec for 3.07's and 5.7 for 2.59's - that would be my best guess... :beer

I have the factory 2.59's, my car is all factory except for Borla Cat Back. I was just trying to get a baseline of what I should be doing 0-60 . In the Model Center here at CAC, it said the 6 speed is spec'd at doing 0-60 in 5.6, but says nothing on Auto Trans

What brought this up is I did a VERY informal test tonight with my watch, it was around 7 sec, but my tires were wet (puddle right before the straightaway :( ) plus not to mention the fact that I was timing as I was driving and going off the speedo. It auctally jumped from like 58 or so to 64, so It wasn't the most accurate test but it was fun :Steer

I figured that was my best bet, but I was bored on my way home last night! :lol

You could always get a G-tech meter. I think they're $99 or so. Don't know how accurate they are though...

I've thought about them, but like you I didn't know how accurate they were.

Does anyone have any experience with these?

From what I have heard, the 0-60 and 1/4 times are accurate; however, the mph at the 1/4 tends to be 2-3 mph faster than what would be recorded at the actual drag strip. Also remember, the tracks are prepped better than the street, thus traction may not allow you the best launch.

0-60 auto

I have used the G-Tech pro for about 3 years and a lot of friends in my club use them all the time. They are excellent for HP and 0-60 and 1/4 mile times but the top speed at the end of the 1/4 might be a little optimistic. I just came in from doing 6 or 7 HP tests on the 88 coupe (245 factory HP) and all the readings were between 201 and 206 HP. These are rear wheel HP readings done by leaving the car in third (not overdrive) and flooring it from a standstill. I got a fair amount of wheelspin and I let the trans shift but I still believe the numbers are fairly accurate given driveline loss. I will try some 0-60 and 1/4 mile times ASAP and post them. The G-tech pro I have is the original at $129 but they have a new much better one that gives torque and lots more for $229. Cincinatti Microwave also is now sellling one but I have no data on that one.

Best regards,
Gerry

In a Motor Trend Magazine test in ¿1994?:

The '94 LT1 Stock 6 manual 0-60 = 5.3''

The '94 LT1 Stock Auto 0-60 = 5.5''

Here's the link to a wonderful site where I go hide myself sometimes to compare my pride & joy with other cars. :D

Go ahead and have some fun!!!

You are always welcome SPANISH!!! :w

I really like that kind of articles, usually they test stock cars that sometimes are not very representative of their manufacturer so I like to compare many numbers of the same car and many opinions of different drivers!

For me that place it's a gold's mine! (some kind of street knowledge) :D

I hope these "knowledge mine" will not interfere with your work!! :L

BTW Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for You & Your's!!!
