1989 Callaway Twin Turbo Aerobody Coupe
Well as alot of you know Callaway had no more 100+ power packages available for purchase. They are considering making another production run of the kits. They are wondering who would be interested in this. I would suggest calling Scott Rawlins at Callaway Cars. 1 860 434 9002 Also there is talk of numbering the intakes with the car numbers to validate that it is a Callaway intake. There is also talk of offering the intake to other C-4 owners non Callaway cars . So anyone interested in the 100+ kit contact Scott Rawlins at 1 860 434 9002 I can't wait till this comes out again I know I am on the list for one as we speak. This package adds over 100 horse power to the Callaway Twin Turbo. Who wouldn't want that.

OH BOY!!! Man, I want one of these and I don't even have a Callaway yet!!!!! Any word of prices yet??

Pricing hasn't been set...the project isn't completely a go yet, but things look good for it. :D :D :D

WOW, That is great news! Crackle finish tube runners will be a dime a dozen on ebay. Sure would like to feel the pull after that install. I'm calling Scott.

Pete - That is GREAT news - I know how long you have been trying to fulfil you original "order" as shown on your sheet "100 plus" ;)

Two things here are key,

>The fact that Callaway Performance parts will be avail. for B2K owners, as Callaway blessed modifications have a definate "value added" effect to the package
>and, for the intakes going on B2K's, they should be identified as such - maybe an engraving of the cars number, similar to how Callaway stamps the engines for positive ID.

I agree Pete, who wouldn't be excited about the prospects of more power - after all, thats what it is all about!!! :upthumbs
Making the intake avail. as alternative to what else is out there might offset certain aspects, while offering the benefits to many enthusiasts looking for that well engineered heritage that Callaway Cars has been known for - sounds like a win/win :m

Here is a thread from a little over a year ago on the subject - lots of excitement!!!!!! :v :w Callaway_100_Plus_thread:

Wow, that's really awesome! I guess now emissions aren't such a concern as they are all used cars.

Does anyone know how much it impacts the lower end of the power curve? I'd guess it'll soften it a bit, but hey, 570 lb-ft at 2500 rpm has some room for softening... :)

A flatter torque curve is always better than a really peaky one....torque peak at 4500rpm would make for a wicked fast car. The area under the curve will grow astronomically with this package.

With the upgraded bottom end this package could be revved to ~6k rpm with no worries. I smell low 11s in teh 1/4 and 200+mph.

I would guess the 100+ package on my car would probably net me somewhere between 575-600hp :_rock

No details to be had guys. They just want to know how many people will are interested in order to spread the development costs and thus lower the unit price. There is no pricing or commitment to build it yet. Like most things, if enough people show interest it will happen.

So get interested and give them a call.

Luigi, you are right on the money here - everything that has gained the interest of the Owners has resulted in the development or construction of those parts & packages - Callaway Cars has been extremely supportive of the Owners and this is one more example - however, I do wonder if anyone has a sore shoulder up in Old Lyme as Pete must have been "leaning" on someone ;)

I know of four Owners who are seriously considering this, there are more I am sure :upthumbs
Thanks for the update :m

One down side will be the cosmetic hit. I confess I find the tall slender runners of the L98 to be extremely attractive. Seeing those aluminum intercoolers hovering next to a crinkle-finished set of them is really something! I think it's one of the prettiest engines around. I wonder how far you can go with the existing intake? :)

The 100+ will not remove the intercoolers only the runner tubes.

The 100+ intake is VERY Baddddd to the bone looking :upthumbs

Can someone clarify what exactly this mod entails of? Are they redesigning the intake runners? Speaking on the number of committed individuals for a new mod to become into fruitition. Thats the reason why no aftermarket LT(x) intake was ever offered during it prime days. Although Hogans has a nice piece but will hit your wallet 3.5k lighter.

The Callaway "100 Plus" (Horsepower) option content is a rare & powerful option that was only installed on a select few B2K's.
This Option added 100 horsepower to the already amazing power ratings they left Old Lyme with.
The option consisted of a wide range of enhancements which all worked as a system to upgrade the entire engine and the results speak for themselves :)

Option content is as follows:

*Intake Manifold
(custom intake/plenum assembly)
*Fuel Rails
(high flow/high capacity rails)
*Fuel Pressure Regulator
(modified reg. for the addl. volume)
*Fuel Rail Tubing
(SS tubing)
*Throttle Body
(ported 52mm TB)
*Cylinder Heads
(custom high flow cyl. heads)
*Cam Shaft
(Cam shaft ground to Callaway specific specs)
*EGR Block off plate
*ECM Chip
(Custom calibrated mem cal. )

****************These parts were sold for specific use as a package - for fitment and technical questions, please contact Callaway Cars for additional information.***************

Currently, An 88 Callaway Twin Turbo Corvette is for sale with these components fitted. It is advertised on the Callaway cars website at: http://www.callawaycars.com/Carsforsale/tt88120.htm

and the following is a pic of the "100 plus" package installed - note: the intake of course is the most obvious sign that this option has been installed however, the other components listed above were included in the package and would be present :m
Hope this helps :)

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To me that one just looks like a big black lump. The L-98 runners are very dramatic and beautiful. :)

Don't expect this one to come in that cheap. It would be my guess that the intake alone will not be for sale, unless Callaway produces them for general sale to lower the cost. Its going to be a complete package in the $10k neighborhood. Which will price me right out of the ball park :(

Isnt' this a handmade piece?
