Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To me that one just looks like a big black lump. The L-98 runners are very dramatic and beautiful. :)
Pretty does not make HORSEPOWER & TORQUE.

Don't expect this one to come in that cheap. It would be my guess that the intake alone will not be for sale, unless Callaway produces them for general sale to lower the cost. Its going to be a complete package in the $10k neighborhood. Which will price me right out of the ball park :(

Isnt' this a handmade piece?
Surf, I believe it was about $11k back when offered... The intake was indeed handmade and is a VERY nice piece - one of the main reasons it takes so long as it was explained to us, a turbo engine builds extreme manifold pressures on the intake side and that is taken into concern when designing it and all the welding involved - Hopefully it will work out for you :upthumbs

While I do agree that the L98 runner design has a certain artistic flair to it, the 100 + design has many details about it hat are maybe better left to appreciate in person - besides the way they integrated the design into the existing package, it does make more power - I have seen other intakes with far less artistic qualities - the folks up in Old Lyme live in the details - the welds are awesome!!!! :upthumbs

Just wondering if anyone has contacted Callaway about the 100+ kit other than myself. I can not wait till it is on my car then it is complete the way it was first ordered by the original owner.

Pete, what happened that your car didn't get this package after it was ordered with it?? Are there anymore Callaways out there that ordered the 100+ but didn't get it??

The original owner had ordered the 100+ kit then canceled it I have some paperwork that shows it was ordered with the 100 + kit . I JUST WANT THE CAR TO HAVE EVERY CALLAWAY OPTION AVAILABLE.

100+ Update and other Callaway Parts

I spoke with the Callaway folks yesterday and was informed that the 100+ kit would be available again. The Callaway folks are Very busy with the C5 C6 products and will be able to work on the 100+ Kits after midyear. This is very good news for the Twin Turbo Owners. So far I have heard that over a half dozen people are seriously interested in the kit. Also the Megaphone Y pipe will be available shortly If you are interested . Give Callaway a call at 1 860 434 9002 Also the dash board breadbox can be replaced with a flat panel wrapped in leather and has the Callaway name emboised into it . I know of someone who was interested in this so I called to ask if they would still do this the answer was yes . So if you are interested in replacing you breadbox with a nice Leather wrapped flat panel give them a call.

Callaway4Fun - That is awesome news! :eek

I will call and order the megaphones for moy B2K then with the rear-y-pipe as the kit -

The original Megaphones on the 1987 B2K's were 2 1/4" diameter piping and the newer ones are 2.5" pipes so that is why it is more difficult to just bolt them up to the factory Corvette rear "y-pipe" as our B2K's came with...

When I talked w/ Callaway Cars about the idea, I thought it would be much easier to just replace the whole rear section - just 3 bolts, two on the flange @ the "mid-pipe" and one on the hanger, then slide out the old set as one unit - Can be done in one's driveway :cool

re: the dash panel - I would like that too, as my wife likes the "roominess" of the 93 we have and dislikes the breadbox in the 89 - Looks like an awesome solution, and leather covered to boot :upthumbs

Thanks again for checking!

Here is a pic of the prototype panel I saw a year ago ;)

how much for the breadbox replacement? I know of another person interested in 100+...wish it were me. :)

Breadbox

Josh I do not know what the price of the unit is. I would say somewhere around $300 as it is done by the folks in Germany. Also Josh if you can let me know who else is interested in the 100+. There is power in numbers The more people I know that want the upgrade the more leverage I have in getting it to the table and off of the drawing board. We should know at Carlilse for surewhen it will be available . Keep the faith it will come. The folks at Callaway know how much I want this kit. Everytime I see them they always say Yes Pete YOU WANT THE 100+ KIT we will talk about it. It is alot of work to make that manifold . It is just getting the time to do it as it is very labor intensive. So we are making progress. Thanks Pete
