Does anybody know who manufactures the replacement liner material for the C3? I have a 75 convertible that came stock with a ten leaf rear spring. Paragon and Corvette Central sell liner kits for 7 and 9 leaf but neither sells anything for the 10 leaf. Both list the 7 and 9 leaf as being standard, but I'm told the 10 leaf was standard on a 1975 convertible.

If I could find the manufacture of the liner material I might be able to purchase enough to make my own liners.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have never heard of a 10 leaf spring on any of our C3's. The standard spring was the 9 leaf normally with the L48 (what I have on my 75) and the optioned spring was the 7 leaf which was normally with the L82. You should check some more before trying any major changes.

10 leaf is a replacement. Chuck

Actually I believe there are 10 leafs. I just refurbished my original spring on my 76 this past winter. As you can see from the photo there are 10 leafs. I don't believe they count the top leaf. So the 9 leaf has 10 and the 7 leaf has 8. I purchased the 9 leaf kit from Volunteer Vette. They give you about 7 full size liners and you just have to cut them to fit and put a hole in the center. The last couple can be split in half and used on more than 1 leaf.

You're right about the 10 leafer in 75. I'm not a "guru" of anything much beyond 72. That's what I get for "shooting from the hip". :)

I'm used to seeing 10 leaf replacements on 63-72's. The replacements that I've seen also have bands around the ends of the springs. Chuck

10 leaf spring

Thanks to all of you for your assistance. I checked the NCRS manual and found that the ten leaf spring is standard, they even listed the GM part number.

Ed, Thanks for the referral to Voluteer Vette. Where/How can I get in touch with them? Or does anybody else know where I can get the liner material on the West coast?
