A Corvette struck a light pole and caused a small brush fire at the 57 freeway before the Chapman off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The 1981 white Corvette went off the road after it hit the light pole and caught on fire, said CHP office Gabe Montoya. The pole was lying across the front of the car.

Sir, in addition to writing you up for dangerous driving, here's an additional ticket for being in out public with a poofy haircut and wearing your father's dorky suit. My partner will be over in a second to kick your *ss for destroying a nice car and making us late for our donut break. :D

Damn shame. I believe that the car sacrificed itself. It couldn't bear to be seen out on the road with that dude driving it. Remember that car, it has done its part for the greater good. :pat

They are missing the story of the century. This car was hit by a lightning bolt in 1983 while traveling at 88MPH, which transported it to the year 2009. That pole was put in around 1991, thus the crash. While writing the ticket, the nice officer explained Van Hagar to the confused driver.
