Front end all pulled down, drivers head light I had to cut out, corrosion heavy on main bearing spacer, impact bar was hit, bottom is bent in about 1.-1/2inches, probably a curb hit. I had watched some videos on line on body removal, not a one ever mentioned the body support mount under the nose attached to the impact bar. Time to organize what has been removed so I have room for the rear end components.

Been awhile, but ready to lift the body off to clear the frame, have all body mounts removed, and there are 9 mounts on this 81 C3, the 9th is on the nose above the impact bar assembly. Due to limited garage space I need to lift and either block up up sling from the ceiling. I have looked for length of the corvette body strap kit, looking on line is states I need 12in clearance to the ceiling, but no indication how long the straps are, as the doors are not on the body this will lengthen the strap, I may need to put spacer bars in to hold the steps out as if the doors are on the body,
Does anyone have the overall length so I can calculate my clearance, hate to purchase and not be able to use.

Body is off the frame with 2x4 blocking holding it up, based on fuel cell clearance, I am thinking if I can lift the body 8 more inches, with the tires off the vehicle I can drop down onto car mover dollies and roll the frame out from under the body when I am working on the frame and suspension etc.

Up off the frame, body mounts themselves were shot, but the frame supports are in good shape, had to cut out 2 on the drivers side, the rear mount I will need to remove the cup off the body as the retainer broke for stopping the nut from spinning. 4x4 support solid, need to remove exhaust and drop frame down on car dollies and will be able to roll out from under body.
