84 Exterior Color Codes

I'm trying to determine the original color of my 84. I assume the color codes are normally on the option codes sticker in the driver's side storage compartment. Are they listed anywhere else as well? My exterior color codes don't seem to make sense for an 84... I believe they are 41L and 41U, but nothing I have read lists those as possibilities (except for later years). Any ideas?

Visit the Tech Center by placing the mouse cursor on Tech Center on the bar at the top of the page. Then move down to Model Center and click once. In the page that opens, click on the 1984 link in the 1984-1996 Column. You'll find lots of information about the 1984 model year and available options.

The color codes for your paint will also be listed on the build sheet. 41L and 41U is black and that was definately a color available for 84's. While the build sheet is glued to the top of the fuel tank, it's probably ruined by now. You can get copies of the build sheet and the window sticker from the National Corvette Museum. You can order them online here: https://www.corvettemuseum.com/library-archives/build_sheets/index.shtml or call the NCM at 1-800-53-vette and ask to order them.

While you're there, spend a little extra and join the NCM. The Museum is a tremendous organization and is working to preserve the history of the Corvette. You can join at the same time you order the build sheet and window sticker and get the member discount. Your membership is tax deductible and worth every penney.
