Never done this before but I thought I'd ask the experts to see if there are any tricks or tips to installing a new accelerator cable on a 1969. I found that my accelerator rod support is broken and my cable has stretched to the point that I only get about half throttle so I ordered a new cable, rod support, pin and cable retainer clip.

Any advise from those who have done this would be appreciated.
thanks

Not that hard to do, just your typical Vette close quarters. Remove the seat. Makes working under the dash a lot easier.

finally got the parts and as Duke stated not that hard. Even did it without removing the seat. It's nice to be able to use all four barrels. Now I get a hesitation when I jump on it and researching old posts makes me believe its carb problems so the carb was sent off to the shop for a rebuild. Seems like when I put one fire out another one crops up. HeHe.
Can't wait for the carb to get back to see what I have to fix next.

If the carb is a quardajet, make SURE that shop knows about them. You can really open a HUGE can of worms if they don't.
