Ages of c4 owners?

I am 18 and have a 1991 & 1980 vette. 1980 was for my 16th birthday and bought the 1991 this year with my own money. I have the best of both worlds a C3 & C4.

C4....I love mine...that's why I have it!

Well, I'm 53 and I love my C4 because it is mine and it is a little unique......there are not many fully loaded 96 LT4 CE Convertibles with F45 suspension out there...I can afford to buy a C-5 but in my opinion this car rocks. It handles great, can melt the tires anytime and it turns heads. What more do you need?

Plus there is something about the seating position and the feel of a C4 versus a C5 that spells sports car with an edge to me. And my Vette is two totally different experiences. With the top up I feel secure and snug prowling the streets. With the top down I feel alive and pumped soaring down country roads.

My C4 keeps me young. And it keeps the bad guys at the light wondering just what the heck that old guy has under that hood.......;)

Waxed, fluids changed, asleep in the garage and ready to go.......60 days to spring!

Bought mine when I was 53...it wasn't my first vette (63 Stingray) but could very well be my last. That's my story and I'm sticking with it...

I got mine on my 30th birthday. The best present a guy could ask for. Just wish my birthday was in the beginning of summer instead of the end (more driving time)!!!

I'm nearly 52 and bought my '87 Coupe as a Birthday present to myself 2 year's ago, and My "REASON'S" for buying were Simple! I'd owned a number of Classic
Muscle car's but never a Vette, and it HAD to be "YELLOW" !!

Mission Accomplished!! :)

Just bought my first in December at the ripe old age of 46. Have owned a Malibu Convertible for ten years but it was a compromise. It will actually seat the whole family! Have only been in/driven two vettes. A Z06 and my 89 Coupe. The ZO6 was hot but I don't think you can beat the bang for the buck of my 89.

25 here. Getting the car wasn't a problem but keeping it running has my bank account running low pretty much all the time. There have been times when it's sat there because driving the Toyota was cheaper. I probably won't be driving the Vette' until May or June because I want to save up some money.

Hi Edmond! :w

Thanks to you now I know I'm not alone, (sometimes I just walk) but nothing beats the great feeling of driving a vette! (mostly if you own it):D

Vintagevetter keeps going

Well, I'm 63, and I bought my 94 coupe a little over 2 years ago. Price was a big factor in my selection, but I think the C4 is the the best looking newer Corvette design from all angles. Just for your information...I bought my first Corvette when I was 18. It was a 57 270HP/4-speed and I bought it in 1960 for $2700.00. I followed that up with a new 64 fuel injected coupe, a couple years later, I traded up to a 67 coupe L-71 (427/435HP) and a couple years later to a 69 coupe LT-1 (dealer built) I kept the 69 for 10 years, and then sold it to a friend in our Corvette club. I was pretty disappointed in the way Corvette went in the late 70's at the end of the C3 era. However....when the C4 came out, I felt there was life in the old girl again.....and after being away from Corvettes for 20 years, I bought my 94. I have been very happy with it, and it fullfilled a part of my life that had been missing for a long time. No matter what your age, there is nothing like a Corvette to make you feel alive!

For the past 12 years I have driven Mitsu VR4 cars but sold my 95 a year ago and missed having a sports car around. I looked around and found a 95 blue six speed LTI with 46k on the clock with not a mark on the car and who ever the previous owner was must have kept it in the bedroom so I purchased the car and a age 63 felt perhaps I am too old for this car. Well let me tell you I had never started or driven a corvette before and when I fired up this car and felt the big v8 thunder all around me (after market Borla exhaust) I was in heaven. In the year I have owned this car have put on five spoke chrome wheels 9.5 front and 11"" on the back, painted the calipers red, stuck on fender flares. Have not had so much fun in years and hate the winter(MA) keeps my baby blue indoors. Question, have 55k on the car now and it has Bilstein shocks OEM how long do these last and should I change them. Keep warm. Thank you.

am 44 and got a C-4 vette cause it had the 'high' fenders and still looks like a vette. the newer ones are too european for me.

43 yrs young here!!!! Bought my 88 when I was 39. Am now looking for a second Vette (70-72 Chrome bumper car ).I have 2 boys and a girl, 7,5,3 yrs old. Might have to get 3rd one for each of the kids!!!!! Always loved these cars as a kid so now Im just a BIG kid!!!!:D

Age of C4 owners

I'm 53 next month. Bought it because the price was right and I know how to fix what it needs. I'll use it as a fixer upper and move up to the next year it offers me to afford and do it all over again.

I have a friend that is adamant that c4 owners are mostly young guys or gals. His reasoning is that they are the least expensive corvette available and that us "young" people can only afford them and not c3 or c5's. I know for me this is true, I am just finishing college and am putting away for a ring for my lady. Just wanted to poll y'all and see and maybe shut him up!

ps: How could I make this into a poll with different age groups? I'm unfamiliar with how you do that on the site.

55 and my '87 is all I can afford (the whore!). :L

LOL! When I feel least motivated, she beckons me hither to clean the bugs from her lips.

I'm 20 years old and have had my vette since OCT 1st 04!

Forty-six...teen!!!! How's that!!!? After years of desire, got my Vette when the opportunity arose outta nowhere--thank God I was ready witht the cash!!! There's a body style in every Corvette year that calls to me and I've driven them all. Still..., none had quite the feel as sittin in my '93-all low-slung and snug. :w

64 here. 91 Z-07 auto, see ya at the autocross..bought my first vette a 67 new, sticker was $4800 something, had another 67 in 71. Love this current C4. Have all the R-DRacing chassis stifferuppers on it. Camber Brace, Cross Frame, and S/T Frame (roll bar). This car really handles. ;) :lou :blue:
