What a job :eek I have begun cleaning what I thought was a clean car to begin with - I did not realize how much dust, etc falls into a vert :eek
Yesterday was the begiining of cleaning the inside of the SNAT and that will continue today...

Tuesday, I have an appointment with a lift, to clean and detail the underside :upthumbs

Any tip in cleaning an opti - engine bay?? I have heard "stories" about what NOT to get wet :eek

Anyone else "Spring Cleaning" for Bloomington, or in general (not taking the nose off like Von Ha though ;) )
Enjoy :v

Just washed and waxed (liquid glass) last weekend and was planning on it again for this weekend but the weather has put that idea on the back burner. I'm in the process of detailing my arse off on the vette for Bloomington. I've got a ways to go, but she'll be too pretty to drive by the time i'm done! :L

I've been cleaning and recleaning, I'm afraid I might wear some parts out!!!

Include me in the list of non-stop cleaning. I've been trying to spend 3 hours per day... and it's not enough! It just goes to show that if you stay on top of the detailing then the long term results are worth it. I've been handicapped on the issue because the original owner of my TT put a fair number of miles on it without keeping it "show car" clean. I've now found myself literally going over everything on the car with fine nylon and brass brushes and sprucing up various pieces of hardware.

And today, of all things... the Bilsteins are out of the car and are being buffed with a heavy cut cleaner to get all the crap off of them. :( I have hope, however, there is lots of fresh yellow paint underneath all the crud! :)

CC- on that opti, don't apply any direct water pressure anywhere near the pulley areas of the motor. The top of that opti isn't sealed well and there are areas where the water will lay due to the flawed design of the casing. It could eventually work it's way into the opti which is an excellent reason to use the patented 150mph "Air-Dry" system ;)

Eric, Thanks for the tip :m

I am a bit behind schedule - Had two relatives drop by, each had a car they asked to have washed (one was a gigantic Excursion :eek)

Things are not really that bad, I imagine if the past owner had neglected it as you said yours had, I would be in far worse shape - A little road grime is really all I have to worry about and Tues night, I will be underneath while the car is up on a lift :upthumbs

I think the best thing to do (for the worst part, the front fenderwells) is to remove the part as you are, clean the heck out of it & re-install :upthumbs

3 hrs a day - eeek :v
