There's one other vette in my immediate small development.
He drives a C4, but he's not very friendly.

A young guy in a torch red C5 coupe lives not too far away. I waved at him once on the road. We were the only two cars for quite a distance. I had my top down as he approached on the drivers side. He completely ignored me.

It'd be great to live in a neighborhood of really
cool vette enthusiasts. To move in you must own a vette and know how to wave.

I think I'm gonna start one.

How's your luck? Hopefully better than mine.

There is a C5 near me. We acknowledge each other when in the Vettes. I can't think of any others close.

At one time we had eight Vettes in about a three block area. But now we are down to only six. A couple of them moved away recently. Guy down the street has an '80, street behind has an early shark under restoration, and next door neighbor has a daily driver C5 that runs in the high 11's. :) Good neighborhood to be in :D

tom...

No others around me. But let me pull her out of the garage for a wash and the neighbors become very freindly.

The majority of Vettes I pass on the road do wave back with their index and center fingers together. (the secret Vette Wave) :w

The Harley-Davidson crowd is the only other group that seems to acknowledge one another with a wave.

In our very small subdivision (36 houses) we have 1 C2, 1 C3 (me), 3 C4s and 1 C5. There is also a vintage Mustang and a '72 Porsche, and too many motorcycles and dirtbikes to count...

Yes, we have fun :D.

Not really in our neighborhood...

but over the past few years we have met some really nice people who all live in about a two mile radius. We get together for cruises, car shows, etc. - we have an "unofficial" club, the Valrico Vettes. We're not very organized, or reliable, but when we do all get together it's a lot of fun!!!

around here it seems to be the rich guys and their BMW's or other expensive sports cars.

that I know of, we are the only vette, that is used in our neighbor hood (the guy across the street has an 80's but it needs some work and is tucked away safely in his gaurage)

If you wouldn't mind another Vette, let me know when the next unofficial get together is. There are 2 C5's and 1 C4, and 1 C3 in my neighborhood. Heck for all I know they may already be part of your group, I usually work 12hr days and with 2 little ones I don't get around too much unless it's to one of the Grandma's :)

Sure will - always room for another Vette! Sometimes we do nothing more exciting than hang out at the Steak N Shake on Friday night, but a lot of Corvette-related bs-ing goes on. I'll keep you posted...

My mechanic and long time friend, Augie, lives down the street and has a 77, 2 58's and a 63 SWC he bought back in high school for $1000 (he's about 51 now). Another man on my street drives a white C5 coupe and he's about 80 years old, but he's been a jerk all his life so no waves from him. Ask Augie, it's his neighbor ;LOL.

Guy

There is a guy w/ a C5, he never drives it but maybe once, every other month...

A C4 that he gave to his son - sits in the garage under a cover...

Used to be a 69 BB car, guy moved recently...

A late C4, Z06 rims - Haven't seen it in awhile - Guy would not even wave :eyerole - I think he has an Acura TL now - haven't seen the Vette in a few months...

A 97 - 99 coupe - Daily driven from down the road - Guy parks on the street, says his driveway is too steep to get into the garage...

a 2004 Z06, bone stock - fella just bought it after I told him to pass on an '01 w/ 30 k mi and crazed paint - they wanted 32k for it :L

Was a few others - but that's about it, besides mine :)

The guy next door to me has a 2003 AE, and we go to cruises together. A guy I grew up with, who's had more vettes over the years than you'd believe, lives about a block away from me. He recently sold his '73, but he'll have another soon, I'm sure. One time this guy went to pick up a vette he had just purchased, noticed another on the lot as he was driving off (a '95 with low miles), and bought that one too! He had 3-4 different vettes in just one summer when we were kids. He's a C3 guy, although he has had a couple of C4's.

None in my neighborhood. (one guy had a C3 years ago, but he is the only one thats spoken up)

A spiral grey C5 is in the next hood over.
and a bunch of C4s and C3s on my bicycle route about 5 blocks away.. but most of those are under tarps and in garages each day I ride by.. ...

There are lots of them in my neighborhood. 3 Vettes on my street, and dozens of them on Beach Ave. along the lake.
I was told once that Rochester,NY has the highest per capita Vette ownership in the country.

Wow, this thread got a new lease on life- the first post few posts, up to the one gmjunkie did earlier today, were more than a year ago! :L

Within my townhome complex, I have the only Vette. Which means, even including some of the modded trucks, I have the loudest exhaust. I'm not entirely sure that's completely appreciated by my neighbors. :ugh

However, I know that within about a two mile radius, there are at least seven people who own Corvettes (mainly C4s and C5s). Most of them wave.

Another thread revival, eh? :L

Oh well, I may as well chime in here too. There's only one other Corvette on my street - a C5 a couple of blocks north of me. We've talked and exchanged information, but he and his wife are real estate agents, and not really as Corvette enthusiastic as I; they'd rather sell homes. :L

But when I first brought mine home with the new engine, I had people from up and down the block stopping by to check it out. Everybody seems to like it; my neighbor across the street, who is in his late seventies (but rides a Harley), says my Vette's sound gives him a hard-on. ;LOL

There are dozens of Vette "oweners" in my area. One guy on the next block has red Z-06 that is driven all year long.

Another person on my homeowners board, actually his wife has an 03 C5, White, has never seen a wash or the inside of a garage.

I cant talk to any of them about their Corvettes, to them its just another car. Looks like I am the only one in the group who cares enough to even wash the car after a trip. Sad.

Hmm... potential replacement for Viagra in septegenarians. Interesting. :L

My neighbor has a C5 but right now he likes to keep it along with himself and his wife in Bowling Green. ( By the way 6 Shooter your house is getting lonely.)
