blower motor?

I was driving along to-day and my AC/heater blower motor suddenly quit. I've checked the AC 25 amp fuse and it looks good. When the controls are on AC I can feel some cool air sort of drifting in, but no fan. My 30 amp defroster fuse looks kinda crispy, but as far as i know it has nothing to do /w what's going on here. Any ideas?

P.S. I got out of driving my jag because of unreliable electrics. little did I know the vette was going to be worse (i.e new fan motors, relays etc., these nickle and dime electric parts are adding up). Did GM have a contract w/ Lucas Electric in 84?

just unplug the blower motor, and put a test light on it or a volt meter, that will tell you if there is voltage .if not start checking fuses.if you have juice then pull the blower.

Did you check to see if it worked in other speeds?

It doesn't work at any speed. i'm beginning to suspect the relay since i dug out a diagram it looks to me like that or the motor itself is the only place that stop all all speeds. Since it literally was working going down the road and quit, well I've never seen a motor do that before.

Check all of the ground connections first, then the hot wire and fusible links. Remember our cars are made of plastic and have no common chassis ground – like a plastic boat they are going to have wiring problems as the years pass by.

Use a hi-wattage test lamp to look for voltage in the circuit. If you have a high-resistance connection in the wiring a voltmeter will not always detect it.

looks like spanishvette called it. I was getting ready to buy a relay and looked closely at the fan shroud. I thought to myself "damn that wire looks loose" and then I kinda tightened it.
Sure enough it was the ground wire and the fan started working again.
