) on ebay is selling three carb tags:
1963 3461 L2 AFB TAG CORVETTE CHEVY CARTER
1963 3461 J2 AFB TAG CORVETTE CHEVY NEW CARTER
1963 3461 M2 AFB TAG CORVETTE CHEVY CARTER

Several months ago I bid and won the top one (L2)... After several emails after I paid for it, this guy never sent it to me. I have a photo copy, scanned to a JPEG fill of him cashing the check... This is the same guy who owns Chicago Corvette.....BEWARE... He resells them over and over and never sends these items.... You guys know me well enough here that I would not make this up...

Pass the word....Its just funny to see something on ebay that I purchases being sold again...I reported it to Ebay and waiting response...

Hopefully eBay will step up to the bat...

I have bought and sold a lot of stuff on Ebay...for many items a PayPal account is the better way to pay...they can work wonders at getting your money or the product for you....and if he has sold enough stuff there is even a PayPal money back guarantee for the buyer.....at no extra cost to the seller....sorry you had this bad experience...given his feedback, I would have probably tried to have bought something from him as well.....but I always use PayPal....I didn't see anywhere there where he uses PayPal....hmmm, he sure has sold a lot of stuff to have not used PayPal....yes it costs the seller 3%, but it is so much more conveniet than waiting for checks...perhaps PayPal dumped him as he was not honoring anything he sold and it was too much of a hassle for them.....

The other thing I look at is the shipping and handling costs....WOW....$6.50 for a little tag that will be tossed in an envelope with a piece of cardboard to secure it...now that is a rip off.....

Al has been ripping people off for years - surprised anyone bids on any of his auctions :eyerole

I had bought some Carter WCFB items from this guy a couple of years ago now and I don't remember having any problem but maybe I was just lucky.

Reported him to Ebay...waiting to here back....now its up to Ebay to do something about this guy....
