I am a diehard Corvette Fan and came across this site about two months ago, i contacted them and found out that they could build a chassis for my 62' that would allow me to retrofit an entire C-5 System With little modification, Recieved my frame and am very excited. I Promised to pass it along to other enthusiasts. You might know someone who is interested in the same thing , Thanks

Nathaniel

SRIII Motor Sports is now offering a chassis capable of harnessing the power and performance of the C-5 System for your early model Corvette!, As of posting information is not posted on site but will be in short time. If you would like information visit http://www.SRIIIMOTORSPORTS.com , Contact info is provided on the bottom of the pages .

Nathaniel,

I listed a link to that site some time ago and I'm sure they are in the Portal too. I'll double check. Last time I was there the C5 frame wasn't out yet, not that the C4 retrofit wasn't cool enough. I have seen their frames at shows and they are fantastic. Keep us posted on your conversion. There are several solid axles owners here that will be interested in how smoothly it goes. I'd like to see some pictures too.

Welcome to the Corvette Action Center,

And to help you out even more there is a complete C5 rolling chassis on eBay right now. (no, I'm not the seller - I am contemplating the same sort of project)

Hellofolks My name is larry been registered for a while, done alot of reading here but not much posting.I am planning a project as your doing so I will be checking in often. If you use the C5 suspention you have to use the C5 rear and the trans is mounted to the rear. How are you going to connect to the engine?

I built a SRIII Motorsports tube frame with a C4 suspension.
They are top notch. One of the best vendors I have ever dealt with. I am thinking about selling my C4 frame and building one of their C5 conversion frames.

Its my understanding that with the C4 SRIII frame you only have to make minor body mods. Is this true with the C5 frame?? Intuition tells me no.
