C5's In The Snow

I'm riding out to Lingenfelter with Remo and there is a GOOD chance his car will see snow on that trip since we'll travel from Mass to Indiana March 18th ;). But the trip back 3 weeks later - WA HOO!!!!

Better bring the digital camera! Sounds like lots of opportunity there for blackmail material. Remo's vette, in the snow :eek

Well it's Thursday, 8 December and we're due for a six to 10 inch snow storm during the night and right into tomorrow morning. I'm willing to bet that I'll witness at least one new "C5 in the snow" mistake. Stand by.

We meet or pass you every year around the same strech of highway and remember, I'm the one who waves ;LOL.

Update - 12" is the forecast today and it's coming down hard. Remo's vert is in my garage, so I think I better warm it up:

Does he have studded tires?

C4 gets wet

Here in St. Louis we got our first significant snow yesterday. About 3-4 inches in most places. The local NBC station led off their 5PM newscast with a shot of a red C4 much like mine sitting in a retention pond. Apparently the guy lost control and went for a wild ride. The only thing you could see were part of the tailights sticking out of the water. He couldn't open the doors so he punched out the targa top. Lucky this time.

Also on Tuesday we got just a dusting of snow and I witnessed a Silverado get T-boned at an intersection where the other driver couldn't stop. Luckily there was no traffic from the other way or the guy that got hit would have hit someone head-on. As it was he went through a ditch, large culvert, fence and out into a field. I stopped to help and luckily nobody was hurt.

Bottom line - be safe!!

As for me the Vette is my 3rd car so it only gets driven in nice days. If you have to use your Vette as a daily driver just be careful.

Hell, I try not to let my Vette see rain, Snow is totally out of the question.
Me too!

No snow here in the Bay Area to deal with but even if there was, that's SUV weather for me.

Just gotta be careful, if a chain lets go it's heck on the rear body panels. That's why I use Remo's car and not mine ;LOL.

Elaine - That's a heated basement. The problem is getting both cars up and down the stairs ;). Covers?? We don't need no stinking covers ;LOL.

Happy New Year - Have a Drink - Or Two

Keeping with the theme of this thread - we're going to get a little snow for New Years Eve. And I'm sure someone will attempt to drive his C5 to the party. Well I guess we shouldn't worry - after all those C5's have "traction control".
