WOW! That really looks great! The NACA's with the aerobody make for an interesting look! I think it'd look better with a black beltline and some Dymags, but those are some great picts!

which are still for sale is a better word for it ;)
These are on that same site for at least 2 years i think. Nice Callaway's price it only to high :(

Groeten Peter.

Hi Chris,
That red aero body car in front of mine is just an aero body. (No Callaway go parts!)
Check out the gills on the blue car at the top of this page.
It is an aero body with the LM hood, but not the LM gills.
Big John.

The guy who ownes the red car, last summer asked me how much I had in my LM.
After I told him, he laughed and said that he only had to pay $14,000 for his Callaway.

Reeves told me that the Blue car was not done by his Company.

Good photos!
Randys car is beautifull isn't it?
Callaway had barrowed my CE for some testing, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I wish this was my full time job..maybe when I retire from the Army!!!

Hello again Callaway Forum, there are several items to address here. First of all, the Callaway’s in the pics are located at Huber’s dealership near Zurich. I have been there, but I have not seen the car in person. Huber is an authorized Callaway Dealer. He has raced Callaway’s for years He still owns Elsa and I think he owns the first racer from Callaway Competition (or Hans Hauser his partner in racing Callaway’s): Lemon Soda. The black C4 SuperNatural that Boris Said drove in Europe. I had a one hour-long phone conversation with him about his racing days at Callaway. This was most entertaining. He tells the story about getting a call from this guy named Reeves Callaway at his home in California asking him if he can be on a plane tomorrow for Germany because his driver Herbert Schuerg broke his hand and cannot drive. Boris said what the heck and got on a plane. He arrives in Germany at the track and here is a Toyota Land Cruiser and an open trailer with this black C4 Corvette on the back. Mind you, they are parked with the Ferrari F-40 Factory and the Porsche Factory teams and he says to himself, is this joke!!! The question is answered when Said raced as high as 9th before a mechanical failure in their first outing after only 45 minutes of testing. Here are the finishes…not bad for a low budget team against the mega-million dollar teams. If you lived in Germany in the early-mid 90’s next to F-1, sports car racing was king…..the Callaway Corvette scared the crap out of the big guys. Well, I got off the subject at hand, sorry, I love the racing… Elsa and Kurt Huber are a whole chapter unto themselves: LATER….

As for the Blue Callaway, it is a ZR-1 SuperNatural 475, and I do think the hood came from Italy when GrandTurismo was an Authorized dealer, but I have to ask to be sure. As of last July the car was still for sale because they sent me pictures of it. Yes the gills are Aerobody, and the hood is LM. I will try to find out why it was built this way. As always I cannot guarantee the information as 100% accurate, but it is the best I have.

I know the blue car is a Callaway 475 CR-1.
The company in Italy never made the three inch wider rear bumper to fit a ZR-1.
Big John.

Looking good Big John!!!! Which Callaway is going to be making the trip to Carlisle??

Way to go Big John!...:upthumbs

Can I vote for the CR-1 to go to Carlisle this year?

See you there!
