From an artitcle in August 2003's Automotive Design Magazine, GM is going to build around 2000 Commemorative C5 Z06's before the end of the C5 run. Highlights from the article are, Special paint (Leman's Blue), special badging, shale colored interior with specially embroidered headrests, but most of all, that sitting above the 405HP V-8 will be a painted carbon fiber hood. The largest painted production component of it's type being fitted to cars. The photo of the front of the Z06 lookes very nice. The vehicle has a shale colored stripe bordered in red from the front of the hood and over the top (was not able to tell how far back it goes but I assume it continues back over the trunk lid).
C-5 badge on the front looks like it is outlined in white rather then the normal black. Article goes into detail about the discription, manufacture & assembling of the carbon fiber hood.

There already out, at least the regular hardtops are. Someone here locally already has one. Not impressed at all with it, other than the carbon fiber hood and new shocks there just a regular production C5, 2003. and with a price tag of 55k just for the FRC and 58k for the ZO6, chevy can keep them. Going to be just like the 50th car , nobody wants them for the price there asking, and with the C6 out soon there not going to hold there value at all

Isn't this the one that was at the NCM in June? I think that Supernatural is 100% correct, they are already on the street.

I don't know - there were 11,500 50th Anniversary Corvettes built which is more than what Chevrolet intended to build and supposedly, there are a few people having a hard time trying to find one for sale.
