I am in the process of getting all of the strawberry milkshake out of the trans. I dropped the pan and changed the filter. There was some sludge on the magnet, but nothing out of the ordinary.

So far, so good...

I am now flushing the fluid out. It is getting redder as I add more fluid and draining from the radiator line. I ran out of fluid, so I have to pick up some more tonight and fill it up.

To get all of the fluid out, including the converter, does the trans need to idle in park or in drive to get all of it out?

Also, should the trans fluid be coming out completely clear and red or just opaque and red?

Looked at the drain pan this morning and there was a puddle of clear red fluid in the corner. Looks like it's all out.

Now it is more like a Daquiri than a milkshake.

Just got to clean up the big mess it made on the floor...
