Video: Corvette Crashes, Then Wrecked Again By Tow Truck Driver

It's bad enough that this relatively well-kept C5 Chevrolet Corvette was wrecked when its owner crashed into the median strip of a busy highway, but then it was set upon by what must be the world's worst tow truck driver.

Idiots are everywhere. Even the second time he hooked up it didn't show what lifting the corvette that high was doing to the front end. I wouldn't have that guy tow my garden cart.

Only in Chicago. I broke down about 2 blocks from that spot during the Friday PM rush hour. It turned out better for me than it did for that Vette.

Man, that is vicious! Bet the driver of the truck has no inclination nor respect for other people's property and more than likely just doesn't care.

Wonder who's going to pay for the additional damage costs incurred by this brute?

Reminds me of a line in that Indiana Jones film, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, "You would use a bulldozer to find a china cup." Same thing applies here.

Looks to me we have a untrained city tow truck driver. I would like to know what he hooked on with the J-hook chains and why he did not lock or tie down the steering wheel. The Corvette should have been loaded on a rollback and this would not have happened. I have been towing street cars and Nascar Sprint Cup cars for over 30 years and have never did damage like this guy did. It makes tow truck drivers look like a bunch of ass-holes

I like how everyone hammeres on the tow truck driver by calling him an idiot, moron, etc. I completely with your comments, but funny how no one calls the Corvette driver an idiot, moron, etc for crashing the Corvette.

So, I'll be the 1st. The Corvette driver was a moron for running into the median barrier.

It appears that the right front tire was removed from the Corvette for what ever reason (notice the sparks are only coming from the passenger side of the Corvette). So, it probably should have been towed from the front. if you also notice the hydraulic cylinder for the boom lift has the letters "IDOT" on it just add an "I" in right place and you have IDIOT. ROFLMAO

I noted it in comment last night that it appeared that the passenger front wheel had to be missing because of the sparks from the right front.

Yes, there are ALOT of idiot Corvette drivers out there. When I purchased mine in 2007, the finance guy at the dealer told me a story about a previous sale at another Chevrolet dealership. A guy purchased a brand new C6 and 20 minutes later he was dead with the Corvette wraped around a tree.

My biggest fears on the road other drivers and needing a tow truck.
