Does anyone out there drive their car daily?

You tell them, Sherry!!

I have had an '87 and '96, both daily drivers. The '87 had 170k on it when I traded it in, still running strong, only problems were VATS related. I just traded in my '96 for a '98 convertible, and the only problem with driving it daily is I love it so much I want to pass my office by every morning and keep on driving!!!

My husband has a '71 convertible that he's doing a frame-off on, and I suspect when all is upgraded and safe and reliable his F-150 is going to see a lot less action!

You've gotta drive them!!!

I agree with you :D Love to drive the Vette........:upthumbs

We bought the 97 in June, 2000 with 38000 miles on it. Today it has nearly 65000 miles; yup, it's our daily driver.

If the 57 (still) had a/c I'd drive it daily instead. (It does get humid and rains most summer afternoons in FL.) I did drive it to CA and back last summer - 7000 miles with the top down!

IMHO, if GM had intended these cars to merely sit in garages and go on and off trailers they'd have added an option for a little electric motor at each wheel instead of a V8.

A gent I met at Bloomington Gold in 97 said it really good when he discovered that I had driven my 57 from FL to Springfield, IL:
"Ownin' a car like that and putting it on and off a trailer is sorta like bein' married to Christie Brinkley and leavin' her in the closet!"

You should drive it everyday...why have one if its not going to be used....no fun...go for it!

I'm Cool I Drive It Everyday

Has anyone noticed that most folks that say their Vettes are "daily drivers" live in climate zones that make that a reasonble proposition? I know it's sounds more "machisimo" to say "I drive mine every day". But some of us just don't see the sense in driving them in the snow, ice, sand, salt and slush.

98 Coupe driven everday in that rainy town of Seattle! Best thing is having that top off on those nice clear days when the beauty of my town can't be beat! Mountains, lakes and the pacific all in plain sight!;worship

Drive my 2000 every day and even take the long way home just to enjoy it more. I do have to admitt that I live in Florida where the roads are clear all year. Vetts are for FUN though, enjoy. :cool :w

Drive my 50th AE everyday. Except when it snows or gets icy in NC, then I carpool with the wife in her front wheel drive VW.
