I'll be on the lookout, however if you come over and introduce yourself as a fellow Forum member, you will be eligable for a bottle of cold Canadian brew.:beer

Hey Barry have you got your ride back yet? If so. Please post the photos.oWEN

I am looking sat a 365 coupe right now and I need some more convincing to buy it. I know as soon as I see yours I will be convinced. Engine photos a plus. oWEN

nope not yet.
The wife and I stopped by yesterday to see her. My painter is spending this week doing final wetsanding and buffing than next week should be reassembly. hopefully will have it back by end of next week.

here are a couple of pics from prior to my new paint job. It's not a great shot of the motor but it's the best I currently have and the pic of the whole car was from an event put on by our club last year at one of the local malls.
when I get the car back i'll be able to get much better pics including the engine compartment but maybe this will hold you over in the meantime :)

BTW, others will disagree and that's fine, it's all personal taste, but as much as I love 'verts I think the body lines of the coupes cannot be beat!

Barry,
I might be convinced to help you carry a seat over since we'll both be in the 63-67 field. Then maybe we can both meet stepinwolf (great forum name btw, reminds me of the old rock group from the 60's and 70's) and maybe talk him outta 2 canadian brews.
Wasn't that engine pic before the exhaust manifolds got treated?

thanks! I'll never turn down a helping hand. you can have my brew as I don't drink.
Yes, that was before I treated the exhaust manifolds. that engine pic was actually one of the pics taken by Keith at Tony's shop before I bought the car.

here are before and after pics when I treated the manifolds per Paul79's method. I know it's not a proper 'stock" look, but it is at least a lot better looking than rust until I can get them sent out to Jerry MacNeish for reskinning along with the intake and the valve covers

thanks, but it still needs a lot of work to get it where I'll be really happy with it.

ZRGator, I appreciate your kind words regarding the user name I have chosen. The rock groups of the sixties was the best of times for me, and that is precisely why that name was chosen. ;worship I'm sometimes saddened to see that so few elderly members are able to pick up on it. Maby I should have stuck with my alternate choice at that time which was " The Wolf Man ".

You are now eligible for a few cold " Canadian's " to be savoured, when ever it's convenient for you to stop by.:beer

I am a child of the sixties myself (the sixties been berry, berry good to me) and anyone who ever lived through the times should recognize the name. For those who may have forgotten, try this refresher link..

I have to admit, even I did not know they came out of Canada. Another great contribution from our northern neighbor (along with Margaret Trudeau another blast from the past).

So, for those of you who were Born to be Wild, continue your Magic Carpet Ride in the best damn sports car ever made....peace:beer

"gator", certainly could not have said it any better myself. " Born to be Wild " will be my next ride, with the Ram-Jet 502 in the monster split window that I am putting together right now.

Those sure were " THE " days, and just thinking about those good times, I honestly have tears in my eyes reminising, while I write these simple lines.

Barry,
I see you're still using that graphite trick. I often wondered if anyone had tried it after I made the suggestion a couple of years ago. I just refreshed mine for the driving season.

damn! that engine compartment just looks incredible!! :beer
your new polished valve covers really pop out at ya too.
your car is the one i'm striving to have mine look as good as......... :)

yes, I tried your exhaust manifold treatment last summer and it worked great and it's so easy. i learned it will come off if you use Gunk to clean the motor, but than I just redid them afterwards so no big deal - only takes 15-20 minutes to do both sides.

When my car comes back home (maybe end of next week??? my fingers are crossed) I have to completely detail her to get rid of all the sanding dust and I'll probably hit the manifolds with another treatment although hopefully over the winter i'll be sending my valve covers, intake and exhaust manifolds to Jerry MacNeish for his reskinning process.
